PC Peripherals new ram

hey
one of my relative is coming from the us so i decided to get some new ram
iam going to upgrade to 2gb, i dont want to spend too much
wut should i get . should it be crucial ballastix or ocz or any other
i want to know wut r the good chips in 1gb modules
also cud anybody tell from where cud i get an opteron 144 in Delhi
 
get a pair if gfx card too and for ram get 1 gb 512 * 2 ocz platinum series pc3200 last time i check price was 200 euros in ireland so it would be around 200 dollars :) pretty cheap.
 
i already have a 7800gt, and i want 2x 1024mb(2gb) of RAM

For 1GB x 2, nothing beats the Crucial Ballistix, but apparently those things have been EOL'ed.. i.e. Crucial isnt manufacturing them anymore !

Your next best option is the OCZ PC4000EB 2GB kit !

For Opteron 144 in Delhi.. contact a fellow TE Member Switch :)
 
Eh save money and just get twinmos/transcend with UCCC. Its 4400 bucks per stick or so. They'll guarantee do 250-260 3-4-4
 
so where cud i get twinmos/transcend uccc
also i found an opteron 146 for 9.2k, its cab2e 0546fpaw stepping
how much does this overclock

I got those the trannies I mean with SS UCCC chips
will I need heat spreaders.....??

where can I get heat spreaders for mem??
 
^^Heat spreaders are useless. They trap heat inside. They do more harm than good if you overclock. UCCC doesnt get hot anyway and will run best with 2.8V or lower.

OK right now on default volts 2.6 i think how much voltage should I use??
also timings - 3-4-4-8 right??
1T?? (2*1 GB) or what?? dual channel

clock 250 MHz...should I use 5 MHz increments...??
 
Both are samsung UCCC. If you intend to buy from newegg, look for the ballistix tracers or the ones based on Infineon CE-5
