Next iteration in the Nfs series seems to be Need for Speed: Carbon. No idea if its a console exclusive (quite unlike ea) or a spin off on the nfs: mw series.

Yea , NFS: Carbon is the next NFS sequel and till now its announced only for PS3. Awaiting eagerly for the PC version..

Electronic Arts has reveiled the title of the new Need For Speed durring the Sony Pre-E3 press conference. The title is "Need For Speed: Carbon". I have been trying to find some extra info on the game but it isnt even mentioned in the EA press release regarding the new game titles.
Maybe it's just a working title for now. I hope atleast. Because this name gives me a 'underground' kinda feel. Which imo aint good. But you cant tell much about a game based just on its title. Guess we'll have to wait on some official announcement regarding the game.
I'll post news as soon as I find some.

If Sony cash's in an exclusive NFS, all i can say its just what Sony needs to counter wii off by a little.

EA is the one company that never releases any exclusives or at least not any that I can remember. They do the opposite in fact, launching their games on every possible format that exists(and even those that do'nt).

An educated guess perhaps?

In any case, the nfs series, or at least the recent ones have'nt been hard on graphics cards(EA never does that). I doubt Carbon will require anything even equal to what current fps' demand.

Thats BULLSHIT ! We Have Not seen even One Screen-shot of the game , so we absolutely cannot speculate on the system Requirements ! For God Sake.... We Dont even know whether Carbon would be a DX 10 game or a DX 9 game !:S
