LOL gave up already? Come on man, this wasn't any harder than NGS 2.

Its not about difficulty the game is no good i just felt i was just pressing buttons on controller

I've been playing this for sometime. Hate it when they start focusing on your kills and camera zooms in. Sometimes when you are on a good streak constant moving in and back is just irritating.

Done with the game. I'll declare this game as an official disgrace to the Ninja Gaiden franchise. I have explained my woes earlier, so won't bother creating a drama over it. We have another sequel ruining it's predecessor's legacy. First Mass Effect 3's ending got shafted and now this whole game went tits up, so...yeah, things are not looking good for the first quarter.

I am halfway through Day 7 and the experience is becoming too generic as the game progresses. The lack of switching weapons and access to Muramasa's shop for upgrades have become a major dealbreaker to me. The mojo is almost gone. Used to collect orbs in the previous titles like mad and wait for Muramasa's shop to appear somewhere. Heck even a save point was much sought out for after some bloody battle sequences. All gone now! Not to mention Ryu's identity is also revealed right from the start of the title! Something that was well preserved for the audience in the previous titles ever since its inception and we never knew who this guy in real was. And the whole Canna-Mizuki family affair is getting a bit overboard.

Allwyn how many days do we have in total?

Thankfully I left the game in midway there was no point going forward on it

Done with the game. I am sure Itagaki must be having a good laugh at Team Ninja's lacklustre efforts. Really disappointing as to how the absence of a man and his dedicated team can have such a drastic impact on the series. The game could have been really good if the existing devs. had paid attention to the subtle things that the previous titles had, which were developed under Itagaki's supervision. The boss battles were such a disappointment. I mean there was a time when I used to pray hard before each fight begins, to come out of it alive at least after a few tries. Absolutely nothing of that sort here. Ryu could just blaze past his opponents with ease. The sense of rewarding and accomplishment which were incredibly high in the first two titles all gone. Completely incompetent adversaries that hardly pose a challenge. The storyline was mediocre as well. It could have been something better. But it definitely doesn't warrant a lowly 3 rating from IGN - a 6 is more like it.

Now I am skeptical as to how the new DMC title shapes up. I hope Ninja Theory knows what they're up to!

^ Considering the first draft look of Dante was not only off but also glorified the lead developer, I doubt anything good is coming out of it. It wasnt until there was significant backlash was the changes undone. Dante looks more like an emo kid in the videos, IMO.

Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge (Wii U) a.k.a Ninja Gaiden 3: Dismemberment Edition

Oh the irony! A Nintendo console getting the gorier version of Ninja Gaiden 3. :P

Completed the demo.I may be wrong here as i havent played any of its previous titles. But surely the game looks awesome even with better AA.Gore is there but fighting style looks a bit repetitive.Otherwise i dont understand why it was rated so badly.

For anyone who hasn't played the vanilla version, skip it and grab Razor's Edge. This is what the game should have been from the get go. I completed it's 360 demo this morning and dam not only did they bring back the gory dismemberment, but the difficulty level got raised as well. It took me around 2 hours just to complete both Ryu & Ayane's missions. The most time being spent on those pesky Alchemist motherfuckers who kept ganging up me. Mind you, this is all on Normal difficulty. It took me around 45 minutes to figure out Ryu's final enemies. Ayane's final bosses were really cheap. The area itself was a major disadvantage; it was crammed & restrictive. Fortunately, the Ultimate technique worked marvelously on them. I'm really tempted to try it again with these adjustments, but I'll can only do that once I cover the remaining backlog of March. But this is certainly the definitive Ninja Gaiden 3 you'd want to have.

Last month i found Sigma 1 and 2. I played the first few levels of both games and liked it and thought I should get 3 as well. I was thinking of doing the same thing I did for UC series. Play them in the order of release one after the other and then jump onto Yaiba.

I am not sure how difficult Sigma 1 & 2 are later on but this game really seems difficult. I kept dying so much, even before I reached the first save point that the game suggested I quit Normal mode and play in Hero mode. I managed to get through that bit but quit at the first boss. I will of course play it later on but it really made me wonder what was wrong.

The first level henchmen block, counter attack, attack in numbers and some idiot attacks with explosive projectiles as well. Not to mention the suicidal dismembered enemies. Ryu at times moves so quick that it almost feels like he teleported and in the dark I loose track of him and die even more.

I really will have to stop playing like a button mashing idiot.

Button mashing will get you nowhere. :p

NGS 3 is a lot more simpler in comparison. NGS was literally a test of patience! The last boss battles that happen in succession!

Sigma was quite tough. Sigma 2 was manageable, compared to Xbox 360's Ninja Gaiden 2, which was sadistic. That was the only game where I had to switch to a difficulty below Normal. Ninja Gaiden 3 was a cake-walk, but Razor's Edge was again quite difficult (at least the demo was). If you don't learn to parry and dodge properly in this game, you're going to die and DIE. The camera is awful at times, so you'll have to deal with it. The best part I love about this series is that, in a battle, no enemy would remain idle, whilst the other is attacking. They would all participate in screwing you to oblivion.
