anyway if you wondering this was how I calculated the costs. a year old i5 4440 used to get sold for 8k-9k. Even I got one offer but courier didn't ship. That was a few months ago. Skylake has also dawn upon us now. Also DDR4 RAMs which are generally better than DDR3 have become cheap as shit. So you can't expect a high valuation even if they were bought at much higher costs. This is inevitable.
Regarding the motherboard thats just a B-chipset model and the "gaming" tag is only for marketing or at least that's how I see it. Superior H97 boards which are only a few months old go for 5k-6k.

i Love to Discuss ! But Performance is not the only option here ,condition and current market price of the product plays a vital role too , if some one is getting an excellent performance ,value and condition with couple of years warranty on it , and which is anything less than 3 to 4 K from the actual MRP , then its justified,

A new i5 6400 Costs around 14.3 K which comes around the same price range of a new i5 4570
and i5 4570 performs better than 6th generation Skylake processor i5 6400

But yeah performance wise they will be on the same shelf since skylake packs a punch with DDR4 Ram support but who knows the benchmarks are yet to come

But as you can see i5 6400 here loosing clearly on Single-Core Performance as well using all cores

Well exactly they should be 20 to 35 % less than the selling price of online websites, as you mentioned they are out of warranty.

For PNY10400 external charger: pricing should be between 700 to 850 Rs new one costs 1.2 k

For PNY 5200: 400 to 437
RS as new one costs 637

The only thing which might get sold for a few hundreds is the hard disk but I suggest you give the full PC away to someone who cannot afford one.
 
If it is the quad core i5 rival, it is selling on Newegg for around 5k. Suggest you sell it at 2k and mobo for another 2k. do throw in the heatsink too.
 
@iPwnz, a great idea but could you tell me where to donate in Kolkata and if I could salvage parts from servers at some place in Kolkata. Desperately need to make a server grade workstation for computation on the cheap.

I don't know about you but other sellers here quoted 3-5k. Its ridiculous. I mean the chassis may be a good one but damn is it old.
While I was searching for it I kept a budget of 1.5k for the original Basic 690. Its not worth spending more IMO.[DOUBLEPOST=1465412628][/DOUBLEPOST]
