Exactly.

I can't understand why people buy used item at only 10-15% less. Usually ecom stores and cards offer 10% discount on orders. Then what's the point in taking a risk buying a used item with less or no warranty.
 
DELL - Inspiron 13 don't know exact model I guess its 5378 2-in-1.
Core i7, 8GB Ram 256GB SSD
screenshot attached for specs.
Can flip it's display and it's a touch screen laptop.

Item condition -
*4-5 yrs old item, signs of usage with everything working.
* battery is dead, 5-10 min backup may be.
*Display is damaged - yesterday only my local technician confirmed it's a bad display.

Should I get the display replaced, local tech is asking 12-13K for display with touch digitizer and 3-4k for battery. Total 16-17K.
Battery I can get for cheap but is it worth replacing the display for this price considering the item is 4-5 years old. ?
How much can I sell this for in this condition ?
let me know if anyone is interested,
what else can be done in this situation, suggestions welcomed.

HDMI connection to external monitor or TV and your display problem is solved

Old and good laptops are hard to come by. I too wanted to sell my laptop but a local tech guy told me not to sell it since it's working good.

BTW bargain with your tech guy and get it under 12 to 13k. It's worth the repair.

Taking into account that Mark3 is around 50k and a new mark 2 is around 35k, I would think around 20k.

Sony WH1000xm3 (out of warranty) - 3k
Sony WF1000xm3 (in warranty) - 4k unboxed, unused available for 5k or thereabouts
Sony WF1000xm4 (in warranty) - 11-12k, again unboxed unused is available for 13-14k

I use this thread not to get the quotes but interest check from members before creating the sale thread (too lazy!), always get funny replies and DMs after posting here. Not surprised!
