(NO GPUs) 'How much can I sell this for?' thread

Hi, I have an offer on a Q6600 cpu. Warranty remaining upto 10th may-2011. Seller does not have the original bill but claims there is a sticker white colored on the box that is required while claiming warranty & the og heatsink. He will provide me with it if anything were to happen.

Asking price is Rs.4850 shipped? Is the price ok? Should i go for it?

For warranty you would need the original box which gives the same serial number as the one on the CPU & the Heatsink & Fan

Check the manufacturing date & the import date on the box & that is the date that will be considered as your purchase date as you dont have a bill for warranty calculation

AFAIK for claiming the warranty, all you need is the defective processor and the original heatsink + fan. The box isn't required.

The price seems to be pretty good for a Q6600. Go ahead! :)
 
Planning to sell a system.

1.Intel Q6600 1 year warranty left with Hyper TX3 cooler with 1 years 11 months on warranty.

2.Intel Original DG33 motherboard 1 year warranty left.

3.2x160GB Hitachi,no warranty.

4.1x320GB Seagate,4 years warranty.

5.600W Iball SMPS.

6.Coolermaster Elite 430 bought a month ago,1 year 11 months warranty left.

7.Asus 8500GT Silent No Warranty.

How much can I get for all these parts?

You can easily get 40-42k.Try to find buyer through friends and also list on ebay and TE.

I was asked to give complete purchase bill details or import details given on the box when applying for RMA

Condition: Mint, verry well taken care of..!! (no issues what so ever till date)

But IIRC Intel does not ask for the box but the contents inside. And Blue Dart used to pick that up from the origin. It could be different for AMD though.

Or rather slash a couple of hundred bucks you paid Faheem and put it up for sale perhaps? ;)
