if u need a business phone with music compatibility, get this. if you need a music centric phone, get either an xpress music nokia or a walkman series sony.

Doesn't have a 3.5mm jack either. Pointless as a music phone IMO. Buy something from Nokia Xpress Music Editions. Why not the 5800? Should be released in a week's time.

was never intended to be a music phone anyway. about the jack 2.5 to 3.5mm adaptors are easily available for cheap , plus theres that sennie nokia headset thats there for 400 or so

when i add to-do entries to my calendar, the business mode displays them as for eg. 2 to-do notes. however, the personal mode shows "no calendar entries". is it possible that my work related calendar entries show on the business mode active standby and the personal ones in the other?

i have 5 phones that i know of all in white. one friends phone goes off while and incoming call comes and as soon as u press the green button phone shuts off and u have to manually start it. my gf's and moms phones are working perfect though. anyone else is facing this issue ?

Its pretty good, only gripe is that it doesnt differentiate between ringtones and music so they pop up in music player. only fix is to create playlists

rename ringtones with xxx_<ringtone_name> better then playlist

i bought this baby yesterday coz i need a more business stylo phone and it looks closely like a blackberry.

also got a chance to check a demo nokia 5800 Xpressmusic....don't hit me guys..but i think it's overhyped and looks ugly...it's just my view so peace hyeah:

Just a heads up for anyone using Skype on E71/72/63 . After making a call and connecting I found that any keypress after that was not registering in Skype , a bit of a pain if you make a call and come across a IVR first. Googled around and found that QWERTY isn't really supported and a work around is to old the CTRL key (bottom left most key) and the numeric keys alone work

I tried that but it only minimized the Skype application and didnt send the keypresses to skype again?

Guys help me update the firmware please...i have downloaded the software updater software on computer..

everytime i try opening it...it says the nokia software updater service is currently unavailable...has been showing this since over a month...have downloaded it multiple times from diff sources..still the same..

help please..

^I think software updater is not available anymore ? Instead of Nokia pc suite there is some new ovi suite. Try downloading that and see

weird, have you tried on a different pc ? also one thing is the firmware on my phone is some 500.xxx whereas on TheMasks phone it wouldn't let him update past 300.xxx (he bought his a year after I got mine) it would give a message saying 300 is the latest. Could be that there are different hardware for E71 phones ?

Im currently running the 300.XX firmware...and i so want to update it..

i bought my phone last november..

and when i compared it to a friends E71, which was bought in january,2009..

i noticed that the purple tinge in my camera was very less as compared to his...

so i asked the nokia guy, whether the hardware was different..he said no...the hardware has always been the same..its just the firmware..

Oh. then i think that trick would work only for normal calls and not skype calls. Usually the phone hangs if any number is pressed when the user is suggested to input a number under IVR options....
