Nokia N5, N6, N7 - Symbian Anna

Finally, I always kept wishing and dreaming if Nokia were to introduce cheaper Symbian^3 phones based on the N8 design, what an ideal BUY it would make.

And now it seems to become true.

N5 specs:
3.2" nHD screen
Symbian Anna OS
5MP camera
LED Flash

Rest is same as all other Symbian^3 devices.

Personally, I am hoping N6 ends up like N5 but with a 3.5" screen and priced below or at C6-01 price. Would make it a great buy IMO.

Nokia churning out symbian^3/Anna devices in quiet a good number. Seems going full fledged to try to capture all the segments again. Good going Nokia.
 
Since symbian development has been outsourced and tons of Nokia employees have been laid off and the focus/hype has been around Windows 7 + Nokia, I'm very curious to know what Nokia is upto.
 
I hope Nokia also launches a full qwerty phone like E7-00 for the masses. Imagine C6-00 but slimmer with usual S^3 specs and N8 type design with 3.5" CBD. And keep the price below 15k.
No manufacturer has captured this segment well.

fack, PR 2.5? Awesome! You have any idea when's it's gonna be available(I'm sure they will keep India in the priority list for this phone)
 
That'd be PR 3.0 and September is what i know.. of course timings change so i can't say for sure other than its a very nice and refreshing change :)
 
Nokia devices are still awesome and rule in low and mid budget segment without any doubt. All android devices below range of Defy / Captivate suck big time. They suck in audio, video, screen. Only advantage is APPS, but I wonder how to have good experience of apps on low proccy / memory. I have seen people making replies like "Nokia is for OLD people", "Nokia for those who don't know what mobile should be", And those who buy, "Bhai ek nokia phone dikaho", seriously WTF ?

Please tell me this device gonna be 10k-ish. I about to gift my sis on her coming b'day. I was thinking of C6-01, oh man, I am so impressed by it's screen and audio.

@dhruv - possible launch date & price ?

@avi I'd still say suggest that you go with the C6-01 , the aluminum build on that one is quite a bit ahead of the N5 plus its CBD display can't be beat.
 
Well I hope this brings down n8 price india to a sensible level. I would love to buy one if it comes around 15k. Best looking cellphone nokia ever made, esp in blue. Sigh :)

I really liked the blue one. The black was classy. Silver was ok.. Hate the green so never got it. I think i'll now settle with this orange N8 and silver E6 and wait for the black N9 :P

@boogeyman : Hahaha... man i love my Nokias.. especially the camera-centric phones :) Can't wait to pre-order the N9 now.. oh and my silver E6 arrived today :P Pics tomorrow !

are you saying that PR 3.0 may come in Sept? :O

Anna is getting delayed like crazy and we will finally get it in July (fingers crossed) and you are suggesting that Belle will immediately follow in Sept? :O That would be really good if it turns out true

Though it makes sense that the changes in PR3.0 are mainly related to UI and since Qt 4.7 will be bundled with Anna, they just have to ship the UI changes in Belle..still won't believe it till I see it ;)
 
Well as i said , its in a very advanced state right now and COULD ship alongside the N9 in September.. things do change though so i dunno...

Its basically a cosmetic change.
