Hey Eggman, I had the same requirements. Finally figured that you need a decoder to take in the digital signal from the TV and then pass it on to the 5.1 speakers.

I finally went with the http://www.letsbuy.c...m-ht856-p-25972 which had the optical in port and it is pretty good. Not exceptional, but nice nonetheless for the budget.

Well why did you not go with exceptional sound of a logitech z 5500? i bet it was pretty close to the range you spent.

It has optical in for ps3 and you can connect ur TV via 3.5s

Yup exactly. I bought z906 for 13k from eBay. Awesome deal and even awesome sound

I was just playing Crysis, and in one of the levels we have to control a tank. The enemies were shooting rockets on me, and one of the rockets missed my tank and exploded behind my tank. The sound of rocket just marching over my tank and exploding on my back was simply awesome.
