News NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Is 2x Faster Than 4080 At $999, RTX 5070 Ti 2x Faster Than 4070 Ti At $769, RTX 5070 Faster Than 4090 For $549

Now even retailers are trying to scalp the prices of the RTX50 GPU's by not selling them

NVIDIA GB202 GPU supply for RTX 5090 set to increase, retailer has 147 RTX 5080 Cards but not selling them separately

God help them if people still want to buy 5090 even after multiple reports of how poor its power connector is. Lets see how many news reports we get of this thing burning up.

Alright here it goes guys:

I was personally aiming for 80+ FPS at 4k in single player games without any framegen and only upscaling at max.

Wukong 4k: to get 80-100 consitent frames without drops i had to lower the settings from cinematic ->very high->high with FSR 75% enabled but no framegen.

Cybperunk 4k: Ultra settings no ray tracing or framegen but FSR enabled gets me 81.5 avg frames in the benchmark, very playable. (FSR Quality)

Overclocking: referenced some reddit threads and applied a OC, the AVG frames in cyberpunk benchmark went upto 88 frames.. so a gain of roughly 8%.

Raster performance is probably within 5% of the 5080 after the OC.

Overall very satisified with the money spent.

Edit: Also the thing is literally silent so huge its filled up a almost full tower case:

Temps good? Glad you like the card. It's a raster beast for the money, and no VRAM anxiety.

This guy went from 4090 to XTX and seems to be happy. No driver issues.
Obviously, RT/Upscaling is worse and he went back to 4090 after using for 1 year because some application performed better, but he was positive overall.

Im well aware about the downgrade and since I've used the 4090 and clearly remember the numbers from the same games. 4090 was easily 20-30 fps better.

for eg I remember i was able to do 80+ frames on wukong with cinematic settings with 70+ DLSS.

While I have to compromise quality or 20-30 frames here. I feel like it's acceptable especially because I would have to spend more than double the amount if I wanted to get the 5090 FE.. forget the AIB's. Got a quote of 3 lakhs for the zotac 5090 today lol

Also add to the fact that you sold your 4090 because it was seeing less use at that point. If that happened with a 5090 and the price paid for it, you'd wanna shoot yourself lol. The 7900xtx would be way easier to digest.

Exactly this is going to be used even less im pretty sure.. but atleast now I can stream my desktop on discord.

my 7800x3d igpu's was even failing to do that at source setting.

good thing you got the asus version, gigabyte is absolute gaarbaage version when it comes to temps/noise due to small fin stack.

Kaboom!

Don't ask me for seller's information. I don't want to make it seem like an ad.
AMD better jump on this and take a massive shit on nVidia.

AMD won't do shit lol. I don't think they even care. If they had something really good they would've shat on Nvidia that day itself. Even they are wary. Meanwhile Nvidia does whatever the f they want. Blind courage or confidence in their scam aka a sales-pitch nobody knows.

Dunno if true, but seems like AI blackwell isn't selling as much as they wanted and they will start supplying to gamers.
All of this looks planned, give less supply and stupid prices. Then higher supply and bad prices look ok. Total wasted generation from upgrade pov.

Wont buy 5090 even if it was selling at say 1L, that thing is defective. They used the same bad cable in 3090ti but it did not have issues because they did not skimp on power management/balancing hardware. Total fail. They did not fix even after 4090 troubles. See buildzoid video i posted earlier.

Yeah even though the 30 series introduced 12VHPWR, it was well implemented. Amps were evenly spread across each wire. Other than aesthetic jank, they were fine.
