Features & Specs :

Two tuners are ready to receive and record analogue broadcasts around the world. Nvidia has two versions: the NTSC-supporting part unveiled this week and a PAL/SECAM model.

Nvidia has applied its renowned PureVideo technology to the DualTV tuner enabling the highest possible picture quality on a PC to date. In addition to PureVideo, the Nvidia DualTV tuner features a 3D comb filter, to create high-quality color separations and enhance image detail, 3D noise reduction hardware, an in-line TV amplifier and multi-stream hardware encoder.

The Nvidia DualTV tuner offers a unique MediaSqueeze technology that allows users to store more of their favorite TV programs on their hard disk, DVD, or portable media player. Users can record live TV shows at a lower bit-rate than normal or "transrate" previously-recorded TV programs into a lower bit-rate to preserve disk space, without significant loss in picture quality, according to the company.

The card ships with an S-video, composite video, co-axial and set of audio cables, along with a variety of adaptors and cable splitters. There's an FM antenna in the box too.

Price :

The NTSC DualTV is available in the US now for around $169. Nvidia said the PAL version is almost certainly not going to make an appearance in the UK thanks to the government mandated switch over to digital at the end of the decade. Our forecast: expect the announcement of a digital product in due course.

No - why would I want two TV tuners? To record two programs at the same time?? Rare occurrence, and quite useless if you have a set top box.

Yes, but how often is that? And as I said, with set top boxes, you will not have that option.... so if you have CAS/DTH, this will be quite useless.

why with set up box that isnt allowed...i did heard somwhere...for 2 tvs u need 2 set up box.....but i m unable to get the logic why so???isnt anhy hack device available yet or wht???

It is simple - a set top box has one decoder. At any given time, it can only decode one output channel (and there is just one output too, on a single carrier).

Umm,
But cant u split the one output given by the box using a cable video splitter?
I have a single line coming to my house from a connection point switch.
I split it using a splitter so that one goes to tv and other to my pc.

^ Yes, KK is right, the STB would decode only one channel.

But, if you add a splitter before the STB - then you can record a pay channel(feed from STB) while viewing a relay from a free channel(from the split cable). But you cant have access to two paid channels unless ofcourse you have 2 STB's.
