I'm considering it money lost for now.
This makes no sense to me. What makes you think you've lost it? What excuse is Ekart giving you for this- especially since you declared the exact value of the shipment and you were insured?

There are definitely things you can do, and do them you should. @napstersquest 's reply is more than enough evidence for you to be hopeful about being persistent.

I have an expensive card coming to me soon which is insured and more stuff is to be shipped next month. To be on the safe side pls do post how did you go about getting the money back.

Would love to hear the detailed story! Would be helpful for other sellers if their stuff gets lost and they need to follow similar steps as well. Glad to know you got your money back.
Will be writing up a detailed one this weekend so others can follow if they ever end up in a situation like this.

Keep pictures, lots of it. Of the item, of the box the item was shipped and of the package once completely packed.
Ideally a video would be always better placing and packaging the box.
Original receipts of the item are a bonus.
Keep track of the location/warehouses the card is going through. Tracking link goes dead after a while for old shipments so don't rely on that.
Also if the item isn't shipped by you, ask the shipper to keep the original docket handy/ or the manifest if shipped online. Get the manifest signed by the pickup guy ALWAYS.
Last one, pray that the company follows through on the insurance provided by them, otherwise you have enough documents as evidence to file a case in consumer court.
