yup brother actually ordered it..delivery time is apparently 7 days..hoping it gets here before that..seems legit since its advertised in both times of india and bangalore mirror..
 
Indrajeet it would be nice if you can place a short review and your feedback about buying O2 from indiatimes once you get ur device
 
whoops loooks like i forgot to update this thread..here goes

received the mobile on wednesday..arrived via tnt courier really awesome packaging.got a bill for it from 1st wholesalers, delhi..looks legit i even went and registered the phone on o2's site so i guess everything's fine relating to the warranty..regarding the phone well it's awesome
 
^^ thats awesome. did u get freebies like keyboard and stuff? and did u buy this phone online CC or COD? post some pics of packaging/phone/accessories etc..
 
yup got an ir keyboard and original leather case free..bought it online using credit card..have thrown away the packaging but came nicely wrapped in bubble wrap in a cardboard box wrapped pretty tightly so no chance of damage..

will post pics later bro has taken the mobile..

oh nearly forgot i also got 400 "carrots" from indiatimes..each carrot=1rupee

ok guys have any of you tried accessing the internet by connecting ppc to pc.(pc has internet)i know its possible the other way round but would like to browse a few sites and look whether its worth going for a gprs connection

dude!! install latest active sync and you are ready to surf internet when connected to USB.. no config to be done. if it doesnt work, let me know. make sure that Activesync/computer detects ur phone and connects successfully

i recommend that you dont go for HUTCH_GPRS. ive used it on my Imate Jam. the speed and messenger is awesome to use but its expensive starting from 199/month + usage charges (10paisa/10kb) to activate, send sms "ACT WWW199" to "123"

if u want 500MB free usage per month than sms "ACT WWW499" to "123"

if u want 1GB free usage per month than sms "ACT WWW699" to "123"

after activation confirmation message,
set ur ISP under connection--> My ISP --_> Choose "ADD A NEW MODEM CONECTION" name it as "HUTCH_GPRS" cellular line "GPRS" and Access point name as "WWW"

capital WWW is important. and you are done with settings and you can surf high speed on GPRS :)

yeh man. you just have to connect phone to USB and make sure its connected and you can use internet from ur pc on to ur mobile instantly. i came to know this feature just a month back where the phone is with me since 8 months.. i was like WTF. when i discovered this thing, i went crazy and started downloading and updating AV definations. i also got pocket pc torrent client :P
