Even though I messaged him 1st as public post, the seller is dealing with someone else.
Saying -

Doesn't matter if you were the first or last. The seller has not mentioned anything like first come first serve. He is actually free to sell it to anyone he likes, even the last guy to message to him. There are no such rules or guidelines so claiming as such comes across as a case of sour grapes.
Now, can he do better to state the order of dealing up front, for the sake of transparency? Yes, of course.

I also don't prefer to sell to certain members who are quite rude in talking.

In my case, I confirmed in public post.
It took extra time in DM as I was typing my full address.
