Well here is my try at this. This is not a 24x7 OC and I have no idea if it is stable or not. I have used this OC only for benchmark testing to see how much a budget motherboard can OC with onboard graphics.

The config is an E8400 + Gigabtye GA-G31-S2L motherboard on onboard graphics (costs 2700 !) + Transcend ram 800 Mhz (thanks Stalker, these do OC well and are cheap to boot) running on a powersafe 400W Gold PSU. :)

^^ Thanks. But what changes do I need to make to my score in the proper format ? Its showing correctly on the front page.

Hmm I seem to be the only one using basic ram, everyone is using performance ram. I guess at 1M ram does not play a very important role in the final output.

ps-nice scores.. i wouldnt push my luck too much further with that psu :)
 
nice score BF1983 for that mobo especially!! :O

the ram wont make much difference because of the large cache that your proccy has

@sTALKEr - Um there is a screenshot ! It takes a few seconds to show up though for some reason. And don't worry, as I said this is for benching purposes only. I run everything at stock otherwise. If I do getting bitten by the OC bug again, ill OC to 3.6 Ghz only since any performance gain beyond that is marginal.

@_pappu_- For some reason lowering the ram timings improves the score marginally. Everything else is exactly the same baring the ram timings and I ran super pi thrice to make sure there wasn't any anomaly. :huh:

Nice OC BF1983- infact very nice. :)
But E8400+GA-31+2GB+8800GTS 512 on powersafe 500W silver (with 20pin main connector).

Here's my lowly score with an E7200 on a 18 month old windows install and just one single 1GB kit :(

killed my other ballistix a few days back so have to send it for replacement.

what i want to know is, howmuch can be gained from a fresh install and howmuch canbe gained by running 2gb ram in dual channel mode?

nahice RAM there rave :D

dunno about how it relates to different proccy's.. but at the same clocks/oc settings ive managed sub 18 sec superpi with my 2160... that on a fresh install.. i just got my rig back up to those levels a coupla days back.. exact same clocks.. nd i could only manage a best of 21 odd secs.. this on a 3 month old windows install.

so it DOES make a difference.. am not too sure about running RAM in dual channel. imho it should be better to bench on a single stick.
 
yeah well maybe ill install a new copy of windows when i get some free time, expecting some more stuff this weekend so will install it and i have everything else eerm installed :p

or maybe ill just do it tomorrow coz weekend exam starting.. damnit

I have ended up in the rankings somehow- maybe coz i quoted BF1983's 11.93s Pi1M run post while congratulating him. :S
He has 2 posts, one for 11.93s and one for 11.687s.
Sorcy was abusing me for not telling him about my new E8400, G31.:no:

Was just testing the chip with DICE, was not stable hence didnt open cpuz for the fear of losing windows, and thats what happened after saving this ss, mods please delete if this is not acceptable.
