Car & Bike Old car sale and new car purchase suggestions...

had booked 1.6 on 21st and all papers had calculation w.r.t 1.6 pricing.

but there was a typo on the booking amount receipt and it was written 1.2 on that.

so went down to get it corrected.

the concerned rep was not their.

but got to know from another rep that they have stopped booking for 1.6 and it has been put out of production as it was special edition.

so i there is a huge chance that i wont get 1.6 :(

they will confirm by tomorrow.

but wft!!

the VW officially announced 1.6L this month itself and now out of production?

or rather a strategy to keep customers on their toes?

im getting pissed as well as disappointed now.

^^ i wont cancel it.

i will have to penalty on cancelling.

if anyone then it is them who would cancel it.

i simply wont accept 1.2

will get it sorted tomorrow.

some of the sales over their are totally denying any rumour about launch of Golf.. they say they come to know an year before.. while some are saying that it will launch anytime now.

i remember the sales person confirming about commitment time to their senior before taking booking amount and now they are saying they may have to cancel it.

will make everything clear tomorrow.

what penalty?

you booked for 1.6, paid booking amount for it,

they are not offering you 1.6 but 1.2( who is at fault?).

since they are not gonna produce 1.6 anymore, then the resale value will be hit,etc you have many excuses to fill it up.

what i think is that 1.^ going out of production is Bull crap.

VW officially launched 1.6 Polo this month itself.

moreover it is same as the engine being used in Vento and thus there is no chance of unavailability of engine.

and apart from engine there is no difference between 1.2 polo n 1.6 polo.

^ i know that.I was giving you a reason to cancel your booking since you have heard that the 1.6 is gonna cancel from the sales rep.

seems you are hell bent on getting a polo. so you are left with no option but a 1.2L

^ i will reconsider if im forced to choose 1.2/
i thought a lot and chose 1.6 over 1.2 and then it is a hard decision to step back when mind is set on something.

if at all 1.2, it would be comfortline model. only reason i chose highline in 1.6 was that there was no other choice.

god dammit.

Forget the car get a Kawasaki Ninja :bleh:

What was wrong with the i20?
1.2 i20 did not feel much powerful but that may just be placebo effect.

steering was too light for my liking.

and i did not find the suspension good enough.

ride was lil bumpy and squeaky as well while TD.

+ the design was kind of not appealing to me, the headlamps were turn off to add to that.

im gonna try to get 1.6 Polo.

1.2 would be a thing like convincing myself all over again :(

only thing that will make me feel better is launch of polo TSI or Golf :p

^^ i have been talking about petrol so far.

diesel is out of question so far.

but none the less, diesel i20 sounds very vfm so far to me.

i20 diesel has been praised all over for its non diesel engine like performance and its 6th gear, which is good for highways and economy. Plus its the most powerful diesel hatchback in the country and is also the most feature loaded hatchback (except for bmw 1 series. :p ), a good alternate to polo 1.6 but the former is quite expensive IIRC
