Graphic Cards One question before purchasing 4770

Hi Guys..

My frnd is planning to purchase ATI 4770.

He has a standard 450W PSU.

Will it suffice ATI 4770 or should i suggest him to purchase PSU as well.

Please pore in ur suggestions please

I am using an overclocked 4870 with a VX450 + my processor is overclocked too.

dont think it should be a problem.
 
Will be enough for 4670, but wont take chance w. 4770, It can power 4770 also, but point is clean stable power vs fluctuating volts. Big factor, card will slowly degrade.

Of what standard is that "standard 450W" of... ?

If its the corsair VX450 then no issue, if not then let us know of its make so we can judge it....
 
Ok..My frnd has 17inch monitor.I think in that case as uday said 4670 is a a better option.

Should he go for 4670 512 or 4670 1gb?

He is a gaming freak and want to play games lile Fear 2 and GTA 4
 
Why settle for a lower card? Upgrade to a 1k or so PSU like the VIP gold/silver series and get the 4770. Im assuming you're not the kind of person who changes GPU's every month.

Gaming freak deserves more than 4670!!!

Tell him to buy VIP Gold 400W - 1.5k
And then get HD4770 - 6.5k

He shall be more than happy :hap2:

Else if he wants to settle for low graphic settings, then u may think abt 4670 1GB for 5k
 
dude if you are going for a mid level g card please never ever compromise on the psu get a new one its worth every penny :D
