@GPMlore pls share your experiences with Adata SSD.
Hi, my primary drive 1 TB Adata XPG S50 Lite failed on its own without warning but I am unable to pinpoint the exact cause of failure. Linux was my primary OS on that drive. Could be due to too many writes within a short period of time (linux and Windows installations, partition copy, downloads, moved the drive to another system etc)? Could be due to power fluctuations too as you said. The drive now heats up and isnt recognized by BIOS/UEFI anymore. All the data on that drive is lost for now. I have ordered Crucial P3 as I needed an OS drive urgently.

This is very unlikely to be the reason. Most likely it is just Adata ssd lower than avg reliability (their s70 blade series was infamous for suddenly dying).

Always keep backup of important data on another drive because no ssd or hdd is 100% failure proof. Also, order WD SN580 if you can as it is a better ssd than crucial P3.
