Open with-----choose program...

Dont know suddenly what went wrong but now if i want to open any file through some other program...for instance, right-click any *.mp3 file, Open with, choose program, here instead of giving list of prgrams, it simply opens in notepad. It happens to any file now no matter what the extension.
Why did this happened??
 
aah! just found a solution.

copy the following in notepad file n save as any .reg file eg. 123.reg then merge, apply n enjoy.
