Exactly !Crazy_Eddy said:Though the thrill of going from 1.8Ghz to 3Ghz is much more with the Opty as also considering its much cheaper.
Dude NO ! From 1.8 to 2.8 on an Opty is a 64% OC which is HUGE.Nikhil said:I know what % of oc means DUH!!!
I was making my own definition. I was trying to explain that if 100 Optys are tested, maybe 35 of them will do 2.8 or 2.9. But if 100 FX are tested, 80 or 90 of them may do 2.8/2.9
We both are talking abt totally different things
Just tell me how many FX chips do 4.4 Ghz which is a 64% overclock for FX-55/FX-57 chips.
In that way, the FX Series SUCK at OC'ing which is a fact..
Sorry, I was talking about the regular Venice's (E6 if I'm correct )Crazy_Eddy said:I thought these things were just entering the market, and correct me if i'm wrong.. but I havent seen any results with these chips to prove that they are the *best* Venice's to date.
The highest overclock on an FX-57 is 4.1 Ghz and here is the link.Crazy_Eddy said:Slap on some Phase change cooling and you could take this chip to 3.4 ~ 3.8Ghz. 4Ghz has already been broken BTW
