Good to see Hurt Locker getting its due recognition and Oscar fame but little surprised by Jeremy Renner's nomination. Its great film but his acting was OK to me, not exceptionally good.

Avatar was almost certain to be listed in categories in which it is nominated.

Avatar would probably win most of it. At 25mins Hurt Locker would have been great but as a movie it it felt lengthy.

Also hope A Serious Man gets some award.

i hope a serious man or Inglorious Basterds sweeps away the oscar, sad to see a movie like Avatar ending up with so many nomination :(.

It's not a remake buddy.........it is Original :S:S:S
The 1970s film was just a similar film with Same title ..thats it!!

And yeah, sad to see Moon being snubbed completely and avatar getting Best Picture nomination.....Oscars will lose all its credibility if it wins!!!:p

Inglorious Basterds for me, best movie of 2009.

Though I haven't seen hurt locker yet. Avatar to me now is EXTREMELY overrated.
