I've recently changed my proc, board & ram to Intel DC E5200 & Gigabyte G31M-ES2L with 2x2GB Corsair XMS2 RAM.. Seeing the good reviews of the combo, i've tried a little bit of OC'ing.. Since i intended to use the proc at stock speeds for most of the time, i've used the stock hsf that came with the proc..

Here's the result i've got after some very slight tweaking:

3.33GHz (266x12.5) with 1.2V (stock voltage was 1.278V)
RAM @ 886MHz with 2.0V

Completly stable with all stability tests passed (i used orthos & OCCT).. I've used realtemp & coretemp to monitor the temps..

Iam a bit confused wether the load temps shown by the monitoring softwares are accurate or not, because the max load temps i've got is just 52 degrees (after 10 hours of orthos & 1 hour of OCCT stablility test).. It seems to be a bit on the lower side i think..

Are these temperatures normal or the monitoring softwares are reporting the temperatures wrongly??

In RealTemp make sure the TjMax is set to 100*C on both cores.

If its already set to 100 then.. good job buddy

Also I'm guessing the ambient temps in kerala aren't that high.. and E5200 runs cools

Here in delhi its raining fire, ~42*C durin noon..

Yeah!!.. I've checked.. Tjmax is already set on 100*C..

I believe it has more to do with the ambient temps in Trivandrum, Kerala.

There is more than 10*C difference in ambient temps from delhi.

I get 60*C max on load (OCCT) // 3.6ghz@1.31v

Mine is OCed to 3Ghz right now, goes up to 62C on load, the ambient is 40C, man its hot and waiting for the rains :)

@vinaycm >> Good OCing man

Crossx, you most probably havn't mounted ur HS right or there is lack of proper air exhaust or some other issue.

Cuz even here there are similar temps, but for an E5200 at 3Ghz, 62*c load is high!

what vcore are u pushing?

Very nice, i have the same results with my chip, does upto 3.5Ghz on 11 multi with no voltage increase at all, and the temps. are similar to your's as well.
Guess we both lucked out :)
Even your VID is almost the same as mine, is it an R0?
AFAIK R0 is really good for both E5200 and E7400, if anyone's interested. :)
Cheers!

^ read sSpec# . SLAY7 is M0 n SLB9T is R0.

Are the R0 better overclockers than the M0?
Also, saw somewhere on the Intel Specification page that E5200 voltage maxes ~1.3xx but seen reviews where E5200 reaches 4GHz at 1.496 volts.
How can the voltage fed exceed the max available for the E5200?

Little bit of more tweaking & finally touched 3.8Ghz on the stock cooler.. Max load temps of arnd 64degrees..
