I basically have a total budget of 24k for my new office system.
I do not want to build the same config I already have.
I will yank out the cpu/mobo/ram from my current system and build a new basic office system around it.
So, I will end up upgrading my system for around 12-14k.

Thanks for your suggestions. :)

yes, your machine is quiet capable for current gen gaming, just upgrade to HD4870/HD5770/GTX260 as per your budget.

invest some in cpu cooling and take that 5200 past 3.5GHz.. stock cooling is sufficient uptil 3.25GHz imo

everything else is quiet on par with each other.

Just take this GPU out and put in a XFX 1GB HD4870 DDR5 - 9.35k.

As u have only a E5200 which is very energy efficient i guess the VX450 should be enough for your HD4870. If you wanna be future proof then get the

Power Color 1GB GDDR5 HD5770 - 10.25k :)

Both cards can easily handle all current gen games in full HD in medium settings with AA turned off.

^^

Apart from the Crytek franchise, the OP should be able to rip games with a HD4870.

Since running 24x7, GPU with low 'Idle' power consumption is recommended, The 4870 is a power hog at idle, 5770 turns in the best idle power usage of all of mainstream and high-end cards.
