how about including Atom in 24/7 downloading rig
There is no point in pairing a 9k cpu and 7.8k mainboard with a 6.5k gpu.Neither 4770 nor 512 MB of video RAM is enough for 22" HD gaming.Having just 2GB of RAM is going to be a problem too.Q8200 9025

How is this for a low-mid level gaming and home pc ?
certain observations: why do you need a quad core for a gaming PCBlue Floyd said:Q8200 9025

You are spending a total of 24.5k on main components (cpu, gpu, ram, mainboard). For less than that(22k) you can get the following configuration which will be significantly faster:
CPU:Intel E7400 5.7k
Mainboard:GIGABYTE GA-P31-ES3G 2.9k
GPUalit GTX260C216 11.2k
RAM:2x2GB Transcend DDR2 800MHz 2.2k
apart from gaming theres going to be a bit of media editing, watching DVD movies, etc.... hence the quad core.
Modern GPUs are more than capable of rendering and encoding HD videos.CPU hardly has any role to play in it.That is exactly what the whole concept of GPGPU is all about at present.if you’re building a media computer, having a 1333 MHz Front Side Bus that can handle HD video is wonderfulâ€â€but make sure the CPU is adequate for the challenge.
