When PC is booted the processor fan stops after 10-15 secs and the PC shuts down.
Initially I though its a Power Supply problem, so changed the Power supply, but the problem persists.
I also tried changing the RAM slot, but no luck.

Can someone help??

I had similar problems with my system. It was due to PSU. I had a iball 500 watter, but it was unable to handle the load. Tried it with a new 500 watter of same brand, it still did not work. Got a good Cooler Master PSU -- and system started to run fine.
I beleive urs is the same problem, though cannot be 100% sure, get a really good PSU, CM or Power Safe would do. For my case, my older iball 500 watter was fine, that is though it could not run my system, it still is capable of running other lighter systems.

i had the same problem too i thought it was a psu problem so i replaced it but the problem was still there

then i found out that my processor HSF was lose so i bought a new one and titend it and then it was fine check ur HSF touch it and see if it is lose

Earlier I had a I-ball cabinet with a I-Ball PSU.. I brought a new 450W PSU (Brand: Enterage, Cost 1750).
Do you guys think this new PSU is also not good ?

What is the Price of Cooler master and PowerSafe PSU??

Photographer, The problem is not in HSF, I have checked it.

Wat shuts down first- the fan or the pc? :S
List out your systems specs please- no rig specs in sig or rig gallery. :(

CM PSU costs around 2k for 380W and 4K for 600W.
Since u already have spent considerable amount on a new PSU, I would suggest that before spending anything more, get hold of some friend/computer shop mechanic etc. who has a good PSU and try it out. No sense spending more without knowing the actual cause.
If you want to investigate urself then disconnect all parts from mobo, add a single part at a time, power on and see what happens.
And please post ur specs too.

I can see the FAN slowing down, then the PC shuts down..

I will try to investigate by following this approach..

Here are the specs:
Mobo: Intel D102GGC2
Processor: Pentium D(2MB L2 cache 2.80Ghz 800MHz FSB)
RAM: Transcend DDR2 533 1GB
HDD: Samsung SATA2 160GB

why don't you post your specs?
is your computer new or old?
did it work before?
did you try it outside the case?
are there any beeps? if so, how many?
it's not possible to solve your problem without any additional information except by blind luck.

- Specs posted above.
- The computer is 6 months old.
- Its used to work till yesterday.
- Have not yet tried outside the case.
- There are no beeps at all.

One more thing.. I just saw a message saying the computer went down last time due to thermal heating.

hmmmmmmmmmm

Pentium D on 102 it's really bad
i had the same problem man check the temps in bios
i think it's ur HSF even tough u checked it check it again

thermal heating only occours when the HSF is not touching the processor properly take it off clean it up apply thermal paste and then try
