41-50k PC Upgrade advice

My existing motherboard is failing. It fails to recognize HDD some times. I am planning to upgrade CPU, MB and RAM. Rest of the components I feel have more life in them.
Please advice
  1. What is your budget?

    • Keyboard - Microsoft SideWinder X6
    • Mouse - Logitech MX518

I recently did a similar build. Got a basic Gigabyte board with the 8600 i5.

You don’t really need a graphics card with it as the onboard graphics are enough for general use (not for gaming). I don’t know about the video editing tasks you listed though - best to check that separately

If you are planning to use the graphics card anyway, that opens up Ryzen options as well. The reason I didn’t consider those was that they would need a graphics card, which I didn’t want to buy

Purchased in June from Megabyte SP Road
N24 Cabinet 3600
Gigabyte H310M S2P 6300
8gb RAM 6400
250gb SSD Samsung 850 6000
2TB Seagate 4800

Don't have the exact pricing on the CPU on hand
 
I suggest you pickup ram CPU and ssd (Corsair / sandisk) from USA , as they will provide warranty in India. And mobo I suggest you buy in India to avoid warranty issues. If at all you buy mobo, then pickup top of the line Asus board . Also look for good PSU if you don't have issues carrying heavy stuff.

Thank you chetan. My current PSU is CoolerMaster RS-460. Will that suffice for the upgrade? I already have Samsung Evo 850 250 GB SSD. Not planning to get a new SSD for now. I will consider your advice on mobo.

I am not a gamer. Can i go with a B450 chipset mobo?

Oh yes 450 chipset good enough. And if the price difference in mobo is nominal then get it locally to avoid headaches. You can sell off the sata SSD and invest in m.2 nvme drive which will boost your performance. look for Samsung or adata m2 nvme .
PSU I am not sure. Maybe other members can chip in
 
B450 tomahawk is best in its category.
PSU is fine no need to change.
Don't sell your SSD, if you don't need more space then this will work just fine.

Total -52K
I suggested the best components in your budget and suggested good PSU and latest cabinet.
That CM PSU is not at all recommended and might damage your present components.

Thank you Sunil. Couple of questions.
Ryzen 2700 is only$30 above Ryzen 2600X? Is it worth the upgrade?
Can I use my existing CoolerMaster case?
