PC Peripherals PC Within 35K

I would suggest to get an AMD based rig as it will be more VFM and serve your purpose well.here's the config(prices r excl VAT)

1. CPU- AMD X2 4000--- 2700

2. Motherboard---Biostar TA690G AM2/Jetway 692GDG--- 3300/2800

3. RAM--- 2 X 1 Gb Transcend 667 Mhz---1800

4. 250GB Seagate 7200.10 ST3250310AS--- 2600

5. PSU--- Gigabyte 460W/Coolermaster Xtremepower 500W --- 2.5k/2750

6. cabinet--- Zebronics Lava/bijli(anything with rear 120mm fan)--- 1000'

7. Keyboard-- Samsung pleomax/logitech spill resistant---200

8. Mouse--- Logitech MX 310/Logitech optical value---- 350/250

9. DVDRW--- Samsung SH203B SATA DVDRW----1200

10. LCD---- Viewsonic VG1930wm---- 9.5k

11. Video card(optional)---- XFX 8600GT 256MB--- 5.5k

12. Speakers(optional)--- Altec lansing ATP3 --- 2.5k

13. UPS---- APC 650VA --- 2.7k

The total of this will come to around 35-36k with VAT.Look out for the exact models as mentioned as in SP road the dealers really try to push their own brands/choices. Dnt act flexible with ur choices. Good shops to find the above stuffs are Ankit Infotech (bargain well :p), new akshay computers,Bangalore computers, metro computers .

Have a happy shopping :)

^^Neetu has mentioned in the first post that she does not need a ups...That saves 2.7k..
She can get the ddr2 800Mhz ram and a better cabinet(something like the Zebronics peace)..

Also the viewsonic seems to have terrible after sales service...So won't be better going for a samsung or a dell

if she can buy online...

p.s I buy from acme computers whose prices seem to be on the lower side compared to ankith..:):)

Guys...Need help..
Got this PC
E4500
DG33FB
250 GB seagate
2x1 Kingston 667
Viewsonic 1912wb
Creative M2600
Samsung SATA DVD Writer
M$ keyboard+mouse

Now funny thing happened,Couldn't install XP,kept getting a BSOD telling to check HDD.Then i tried vista and funny thing it got installed but did not recognise any other drive other than root. Then i tried using ultimate boot CD and got an error telling invalid disk.
So went to the shop again,After checking every piece of H/W he replaced the motherboard with a 945 chipset and everything worked. So they figured out it was the motherboard's fault and they got another new piece(DG33FB) and same error occured!!Since it was already 9PM,I came back home.I'm so frustrated.Plz suggest me a different motherboard plz.I'm buying a gfx card since i need one for the DVI functionality of the Monitor...

I paid 4600/- for the motherboard and i have around 4K remaining,So plz plz suggest me a good motherboard+gfx card within say 7-8k.I'll be going tommo by 10:30,so plz suggest asap.
-Thanks

format the hard disk using fat at xp :S
i think you have hd problem or you cd xp is corrupt
for exchange the board i recommended p35 board with ati 2400 xt support hdmi or 7600 GS

ask him for exchange samsung 19 lcd
btw 1912wb has ghost problem :p
s chekc many review while buying right lcd

hey Neetu, thats kinda frustrating..but have some patience...

i aint sure about that BSOD's causes but i already warned u about that intel board...it really has got a bunch of problems.

Anyways u being experienced that ill definately suggest u to get a p35 board rite now..

options wich u hv in p35 boards

aBIT ip35e

MSI p35 neo

Biostar tp35

or even a gigabyte's p35 offering will do good for u...but remember do get a p35 only coz u shud'nt

purchase outdated things at this point of time.

these mobos will cost u anything around 5-6k

so ur leftover with that 2k

u can get a gfx card like 7300gs well within it..n make ur LCD shine..

And still if u have problems like BSOD's check ur RAM prior to anything.

Good luck!:)

@arunhalo
As i said Xp installed fine with the 945 chipset. So its not the HDD problem.

@audiophile2rock
Yeah i should have listened to you about the DG33FB,since it was intel i took the risk:( .these guys don't have any p35 chipset boards.the shop guy asked the exact model, since i didn't know the model, i told the chipset, will try tommo with the exact model name.Any other alternative to the p35?my friend has an XFX 650i motherboard, and its pretty stable although i read about the many problems here.So any suggestions if the p35 not being available?

Perfect config Supra :) - My idea of a budget rig with the 8600GT thrown in for some gaming if need be :eek:hyeah: - else even the onboard is quite potent :p - prices are a tad lower on the proccy and mobo now. :)

But you dared to mention AMD in this place of intel fanbois- hats off to you man. :p

People so easily diss something when they have not even tried it out.

Had it been my sis or GF, if not into some hardcore gfx or something, would have used teh same on my suggestion- coz i want them to have rigs they can manage ontheir own.

Not come running to me in case something goes wrong on their OCed 214o/2160 rig- unless living under teh same roof.

Infact a friend's sis is getting the same and she is into print media/publishing/gfx etc.

Never known TE members being 'SO' helpful and 'typing so much' for helping others. :bleh:

Note the My dear...'- I nominate that post for the toscars.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And to those who think money saved by not buying a UPS is a wise decision- O'Rilly?? :p

(A 1.7K odd 600VA UPS gives lots of peace of mind- requirements may vary as per rig.)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
@ Neetu- if you are not OCing(i presume)- go for the Biostar TP35D2A7- rock solid. :)

About a gfx card- assuming you are a normal girl and your idea of moderate gaming- maybe a 8500GT if it's cheap.

Or maybe even a 7200/7300GS or something like that will do.
I leave the gfx card to the oh-so-helpful guys here. :)

esp when they smell a female ofthe species around

@BIKeINSTEIN
I'm not against AMD,infact ihave an athalon myself, its just that now c2d rule the roost and i felt really bad when i read AMD's value is just around 5 billion whereas Intel's is 165 billion.I have my reasons for a c2d setup.

Nah- don't misunderstand me- you are not wrong. :)

(In fact a rig has to be totally custom- what works for me needn't work for you and vice versa, especially if one delves into the finer things.)
Just try for the P35 mobos or wait if you have to.

The Biostar i mentioned is a total and rock solid VFM mobo for normal and moderate OCed use.

I am sure a lot of TE gurus will agree on that. :cool2:

For usage with fairly high overclocking, i prefer the Abit IP35E (or higher variants as per budget) becoz of the 4-phase pwm circuitry and beefier build quality. :)
I was speaking on those who dismiss stuff they have not tried out just bcoz benchmarks say something.

It also very important to configure a rig as per budget(main thing) and priorities. :)
All the best. :hap2:

u shud definately try gettin p35 ....ask him to get one if he doesn't...

and abt that xfx 650i....never ever get it....

still if u dont get a p35 try this g33 board

asus p5k-vm...

stick to atleast getting a 965 board.. if g33 doesnt workout.

Yeah true, and in india there is some crazy rumour that AMD's heat up quickly...Sad but true!

I'll search around for the Biostar TP35D2A7

shall i go for Intel DP35DPM,if its available bcoz these guys deal with intel stuff..Getting the other brands will be difficult esp the biostar one.

Hey ppl,the prob with the DG33FB was just some setting on the bios, had to change ide to sata. That ass wasted 2 days for that simple problem...speaking of problems-i went home happy since everything was operating fine and i connected my Viewsonic VA1912wb.Its native resolution is 1440x900.So i changed the display settings to that and it worked fine and suddenly it started to flicker..now it stops and starts flickering randomly.but does not flicker when i change to a lower resolution(12somethingx768) it starts to flicker above that resolution.I also get fine lines when i change the frequency to 75Hz(1440x900).What could be the problem?I didn't buy any gfx card today and i installed all the drivers. All i can say is i'm having really bad luck :(
Any suggestions?
