Persisting issues with Nokia N73 and shoddy customer care service

This is ther overall picture of the problem i am facing.
this was the mail which i had written to nokia care online.
this is what i said to Nokia care hotline
and this is what i always say to Nokia Care service centre situated in my AREA

Respected Sir,

My cellphone faces a very unique problem. after sometime of usage it again and again starts misbehaving.

by misbehaving i meant, the cellphone becomes incapable of making calls through Contacts Menu or Last Dialled Section.

for the above complaint my cellphone was given twice to the Nokia Care center situated @ Vashi( Navi Mumbai ). both the time cell phone was given back to me after the gap of 7-8 days but to my amusement the problem still exists.

now even the Keypad No.2 button has stopped responding.

the above problem does get OK when the cellphone is Restarted but again after usage of 2-4hrs it starts back.

as of now i have no choice other than to think this as an manufacturing defect.

hence i would like to get a replacement for this. as i am already harrassed enough purchasing a nokia Cellphone.

i will be giving back my Cellphone to Nokia Care tomorrow again. but this time i need REPLACEMENT. i am fed up of repeated going`s at Nokia Care.

i believe u do take care of ur customer. incase of ur non-attendance of problem i wont have any other choice than to look for Judicial support in these. hence in the best interest of urs and ur customer, i believe u wud agree readily and also do it PROMPTLY.

they are sayin this same thing from past 6 confrontations with them for the same issue. generally its like , i collect the cellphone from there..... use it for 4-5hrs then see the same problem poppin up AGAIN and give back the cellphone back in evenin for repair/replacement.

i cant believe why they are hesitating to provide a replacement for their shitproduct.

even when i confronted the NOKIA care customercare ppl, they say sir we cant help u , if ur city`s nokia care respondent has asked u to collect the cell phone then you have to collect it .
To sum it all up

1: 6 Times i have given my cellphone back to back ( not even usin for full
one day after each time i recieved it ) for the same issue

2: they dont replace it but give me the same phone (although i dont want to
stress on the point of replace but when they cant repair it for sure then y
not replace)

3: I have used Sony ericsson and Samsung before. must say their warranty is
good. sony ppl if used to say they repaired, then the cell phone has to
be repaired and in case if the same problem still existed they used to do
direct swap.

4: Nokia customercare people i.e. people from nokia care service center and
customercare both say they cant help me in this matter , if the Head
office say its repaired then its not our concern.


5: i invested my 16k on this Shit , now what am i suppose to do :(

CAN SOME ONE HELP ME IN THIS MATTER. ITS REALLY FRUSTRATING
 
errr. pt no. u forgot to mention to 'us' which cellphone is it :)
nokia service is comparibily bad , however if u are using the 'N' series i have got good service ONLY when i have resorted to direct access to their main center at Phoenix Mills @ Parel. However for you travelling might be an issue and getting the phone back without a fixxx even after the long travel might be a total put off for u , however i guess u can give it a try..........
my pals n73me is facing something similar , his CMOS battery has conked off , he has given it to nokia 2 times and got it back unfixed - errr...not even in mumbai - in dubai , so i guess the after sales is totally messed up , this is what happens when 3rd party support comes into play ! .....
 
I faced similar problem with 2 nokia CDMA phones in the past, both times I have been given a new Upgraded model.

done everything except the Hard reset.
do u think it can help ? what is the code for that !

i believed that Nokia ppl mite have tried it :(

chu ppl...... they simply i guess reinstall the freakin firmware and give the damn fone back to me as for time it works after restart.
 
arre do a software update through nokia software updater. code for hard reset is *#7370# or *#7870# any of those :)
 
this prob of not being able to dial from the calls list has been addressed... whats your current software?

get the nokia phone updater and update your software... it should set it right!

i have version v4.0736.3.2.1.. no problems at all...

try it and let us know.
 
its already updated to the latest version.
the problem is not due to software i guess... its just that somethin is wrong wth the handset itself.

anyways they gave me back the same shit n73 today and told me to test it if some problem arises as usual...

have kept my fingers crossed :D

Yes i did hard reset .... the problem has not arised till now after gettin in today @ 2pm. but i dont know ...... when it might pop up again :(
 
Board level stuff from all over mumbai is collected by the various outlets sent to Phoenix only -

you can go there deirect too , but waiting there is a pain. I think they have a seperate line for N series -
 
Can u post the firmware version...maybe updated, but jus do this once...might help..

I understand how irritated u might be...
