Instead of diesel its kerosene and LPG which costs the maximum damage.

Government now should come out with limited subsidised lpg containers and replace kerosene latterns with mini-5kg lpg one.

Anyways already diesel cars are expensive a lakh rupees some reason for that is same we discussing. Its the freebie which our passed on our money to ppl of election like 2 rs kg rice, color tv etc.

And when the supreme court fines the representative it again goes from our pocket(vilasrao deshmukh case fine of 10 lakh rupees).
i read some where that lpg cylinder prices might be deregulated for those who consume more than 4 refills a year. thats like a refill every three months. lol. wonder when they will unload that shock on citizens. so price will jump from Rs 350 to Rs 450-500 or so for a refill i guess.

rs 5 is big but its better to use bike whenever possible or even cycle lol instead of just car everytime and secondly try going to making which is just 200 meters away instead of going on car.

Energy prices will keep going up whether its petrol, diesel, electricity,Increasing demands and depleting sources.

Removing subsidised LPG cylinders for above poverty line people will be a good start.
Problem is they dont have exact data to know how to calculate above BPL.It was ration card earlier which can be easily scrwed these days.

AAdhar is the main criteria but the government doesnt look serious to implement it at faster level.I know in my friend area they were getting the number but i still have no idea about this drive.

And without subsidy cylinder will cost more than double 750 something.

Regarding diesel lpg.

Only 20-40 rupees will be hired on lpg and not more than 3 rs on diesel i feel it will be 2.But that too will be coming after long time.On contrary if there would had been shares on petrol and one would had got the shares in 2009 it would right now be giving more than 50%+ return.Petrol is rich man fuel.

Yeah, don't know why hell we top in this and road tax :(

Some one said its 72 at some place in Maharashtra (this thread itself)
There is a state level cess also which adds to the price. I believe Karnataka (and one more state I don't remember) are the highest. What is the road tax percentage there? I thought Tamil Nadu has the highest in that aspect

Diesel is going to get hiked @ Rs.3/- per ltr, & LPG is going to go up by Rs.30/- per cylinder & will become limited per family per year.
