Neways, about BULLDOZER:-

It's gonna follow SMT, or Simultaneous Multiple Threading. AMD have reported that this feature increases performance by 90-95% with a mere 5% increase in die size compared to a real core, whereas HT is the old P4 thingy, and the avg gains u see are 15% only..

Well AMD corrected that statement and said the 95% gain was not for mere 5% area increase but much more so that the core count for bulldozer is pretty odd!
A quad core bulldozer would be a present dual core with 2 additional integer cores. or you can look at it as 2 floating point cores disabled in quad core.

Anyways it will definitely push prices down. good for us. Waiting for upgrade since long!

AMD might be counting on more X6 TWEAKERS to make enough profit, while selling other X6 @ cheap
