0-20k Please Suggest AIO Cooler for Ryzen 5600X

The 5600 can get toasty, but will PBO itself quite well, if you give it good temps. I have 5600 (non X), and it boosts to 4.65 Ghz on all cores during benches and gaming. This is with a D15s (2 fans). Temps are 71c-ish during Cinebench in a non-AC room. Tried manually overclocking to 4.8 Ghz...temps shot up to 80C lol.

5600 has thermal ceiling of 90°C. 71°C during Cinebench is good. 80°C max after overclocking to 4.8GHz is not 'toasty'. It is much better than majority of 6core or above chips. My 5800X hits 90 degrees without overclocking, during Cinebench.

5600/X is efficiency monster from last gen. Calling it 'toasty' is not right IMO. You do not have to spend anything extra to keep it cool. Any good performing cooler under 3k rupees will do its job. Even the Noctua D15s is an overkill for this CPU.

PS: over-cooling an thermally efficient CPU is just FUD created recently. Misinformation is spread these days that you need to lower CPU temps as much as possible by using AiOs or oversized coolers.

I know it has a thermal headroom of up to 95c. By toasty, I meant compared to previous gen Ryzen(s). I'm coming from a 1600, which ran much cooler, so I just meant relatively.

I didn't buy the D15s specifically for this CPU. It was sent to me by Noctua, at one point. Anyway, as a bonus, because temps are lower, the CPU boosts to 4.65 Ghz. Anything over 75c, boost clocks drop. But yes, there is no need to go overkill on certain SKUs, when even a 212 will do the job.

Deepcool AK620 Zero Dark and Noctua NH-D15 Chromax Black (Dual 140mm)

I was just reading if the NH-D15 will fit with my current G.Skill Ripjaws V and seems like I might have to push the fan up a little higher if I mount the fan over the RAM modules.

Decisions... decisions...

If you have the money to spare, and care about every last 0.1fps/0.1% of performance then Noctua. Else, AK620 will provide 95-99% the same performance (and with only slightly higher fan noise, which will likely be drown3d by case fans anyway) at around 60% of the price (going by PrimeABGB prices).

Correction: Deepcool will perform technically better under higher load for far lesser price -

So unless you specifically want Noctua branded cooler, I don't see any reason to not go for the AK620
 
Another vote goes to the AK620. Do check RAM clearance and if you have enough depth in cabinet to install this before buying.
 
@desiibond : Yes, my cabinet is a Corsair 780t Full Tower so that will eat up the AK620 or the D15 without problems. I checked the RAM clearance of the AK620 since I'm using 4 sticks of G.Skill Ripjaws V and was worried about their height but the AK620 has a 43mm RAM height clearance and the Ripjaws V is at 42mm so just a whisker shy luckily!

I was wondering why is there no recommendation for this cooler though:

It performs well but stock fan is pretty noisy (ie, slightly more noisy compared to others). You can check reviews for more info; they should have at least the NH D15 in comparison within it - it's about a 5c difference compared to the Noctua, so it performs worse in noise normalized tests conapred to ut and hence the AK620 as well

+ it's more expensive. So not worth it, at all.

At this point I'm mostly inclined towards getting the AK620. Reviews are solid and for the price right now and the performance it brings... it's unbeatable.

Another thing I like is the orientation of the AK620 which can be vertically mounted because I'm using the CM 212 Hyper currently and have it mounted horizontally on my Ryzen 1600X.

After you get the cooler and 5600, unlock the PBO limits in the BIOS, with a higher TDC, EDC, PPT, and positive scalar. If your temps are good, you'll get an all-core boost of 4.65 Ghz. The X will even be higher.
 
Didn't the Arctic Freezer II AIO's have some sort of rubber gasket vulcanization problems? Has that been fixed in the current batches?
They are one of the few companies who had a good response to a product failing, you can check the video gamers nexus made about them, they either issued immediate refunds or sent out replacements after verifying

Usually, lets say a leak from a AIO damages other componets in the PC like motherboard or GPU... do the companies then send you a replacement AIO and also cover the price of your damaged components OR will this depend on companies policies?

I'm pretty sure a good company would have QA to avoid that, a bad company would go all hush-hush. Can't say about artctic I don't remember hearing about any cases where other components were damaged
 
Any notable difference between the ak620 and ag620?

From what I have read:

- The AG620 does NOT have the shroud cover in-front of the dual-heatsink towers which the AK620 has. This means the height of AG620 will be a tad lesser compared to the AK620.

- The AG620 has ARGB fans as opposed to no RGB/ ARGB fans on the AK620.
