pls suggest a digi cam < 15k

hi guys..

i am new to digi cams.... luking for a camera in a budget less than 15k... i hv gone thru many forums.... but still can't finalize on 1... my reqmnts r listed below:

1. natural n high quality photos n gud video recording.......
2. image stabilizer..
3. reasonable luks..
4. long lasting battery..
5. all latest features..

few choices:
canon sx110is, ixus 100is, A2100is
pana tz7..

pls help me in choosing one... thnx in advance...

suggestions pls..!! i am new to cameras and new to the terms like ISO, focal length, wide-angle, etc... just selected these models based on reviews... cud u pls suggest me which to chose??
 
The features U mentioned will be helpful to tell us the better camera,,,

But more important to tell is, for which purpose do U want the camera...

->Do U want it just to shoot family photos, and the capture family functions parties, and travels....

->Do U want it for serious photography, and would be exploring fields like landscape, macro, wildlife, sports etc...

If U want it for serious photography, plz let us know which field U r more concerned with...This will help us to decide lens, iso performance etc...

i viewed some photos taken in a canon SLR bought for arnd 30k (don kno exactly which model) and was very much impressed...

looking for a model tat can shoot such natural photos (atleast near to it)..:)
 
tz7, panasonic , but i think its near to 20 range ....at the same range you can get fz28 but the video is not that good compared to a tz7 ,
 
get the pannasonic tz 11

saw the same for around 13k + at ebay!!

great camera, if u cant get the tz6 or tz7, they r expensive around 20 k range

or u can also check these tz11or tz15 !!
 
TZ5, TZ7, TZ11.. panasonic..

SX110IS, IXUS100IS, A2100 IS..

OMG..!! really a lot of models..!! huh..!! :huh:

wud b gr8, if u guys pls justify ur suggestions...
 
^^^ Zero research or too much research, u'll end up confused and frustrated. Settle for the newer Canons.

Heres why:

-- IQ

-- High ISO Performance

-- Superb IS. (I could see I guy shooting the sleeping beauty castle handheld while i ended up with a slight blury picture

Sony W270 or Panansonic TZ15 !

Both have a wide-angle lens, something the Canon(A2100) misses out on.

Best ISO Performance : Canon > Fujifilm > Others

: between tz11 and tz15, i think tz 11 is a better choice as both have same specs like 10x zoom and 28mm wide angle,

tz11 has 8 mp. with 2.7 inch screen

tz15 has 9 mp with 3 inch screen . so out of the 2 i guess tz11 is a good choice its around 3-4k cheap as well!!

for a strict budget within 15 k i think panasonic tz11 is a better choice than canon sx110IS
both have same 10x zoom, but pannasonic has wide angle and is more pocketable, ultra compact camera whereas canon is a bit bulky--

picture quality is almost same for both, beginners like me n u cant even notice the diff in 2 :P
just my opinion

TZ15 over TZ11:

Bigger display.

HD video recording.

True 16:9 format.

If you don't need the above, the TZ11 does the job !

thnx for ur suggestions, guys!! shud b mostly tz11/15... but i always wanted to go for canon, as i felt canon had better image clarity/quality...
 
planning to buy tz15 in 1 or 2 weeks, considering its HD video, luks, wide angle... hope it meets all my requirements...

but 1 last question.... how wud thes 8 or 9MP cameras provide better(quality/clarity) photos than 12 MP models that we get at 13k, leaving aside the 10x zoom(as it allows to zoom objects) and 28mm wide(allows to take wider photos)??

just wanna make sure that i am selecting the best.. :)
 
I did this research for 1 month and purchased a canon sx110is for 10100 from Amazon.com US. You can't go wrong with this camera. Highest scores in any range and I can confirm it.
