Pls suggest BLDC Fan?

I have ordered "atomberg Renesa Smart 1200mm BLDC Ceiling Fan" from Amazon but yet to deliver. Does it integrate with alexa smoothly? How much energy bill I can save per year approx. Do I have to remove existing fan regulator? This is my first smart fan purchase. Any advice for me?

Do I have to remove existing fan regulator?
Disclaimer: I am not an electrician, nor do I have much knowledge in these.

I replaced my old fan with the Atomberg one myself. I didn't remove the old brick type fan regulator, just left it at maximum speed. So far no issues. I had planned to re-wire the fan switch without the regulator, then forgot until I saw your post lol.
Main reason I chose Atomberg was it had a Home Assistant integration.. and works very well
Does the Home Assistant integration with the fan require internet? Or will it work completely offline (via BlueTooth)?

@unni

Does the app not allow customizing fan speeds manually? Apart from those 1 to 5 settings.
It doesn't look like app allows the speed to be set to in between say 0 & 1 or 1 & 2. I just tried it, and the app's slider will allow me to place the slider between 0 & 1. But, after a few seconds, the slider automatically positions itself at level 1. Same happened between level's 1 & 2 as well.

I am attaching a video showing this. I have also included other app functionality in case anyone's curious.

Hmm. I thought it was possible with the Atomberg app. I remember reading somewhere like so. I guess it was some other brand fan.

while searching for a BLDC fan, i came across a brand which was offering 25 speeds. users seemed to be quite pleased with the micro-adjustments.
I'd like that.

The speeds the Atomberg has given me:
  • 1
  • 2
  • 3
  • 4
  • 5

The speeds that I want:
  • 0.25
  • 0.5
  • 0.75
  • 1
  • 1.25
In the past 3 years, I have never went above the speed 1. Most of the time, even the 1 speed is too chilly for us.
