Pls suggest BLDC Fan?

That guy is feku. Half of the time he doesn't check the products in reality like he claims. And occasionally, he makes things up.

He recommends those products which get him the most affiliate commission. Brand consumer experience doesn't matter to him.
Yes exactly even though he says that he tested them by installing personally. This lies for affilate commissions and he always gives flipkart links for his recommended products.

I don't have experience with this particular guy, but the home appliance review scene in India is dog shit. The one skill they need is reading the spec sheet with confidence.

BLDC fan air flow is not as good as the regular fan. Why is that so? I have a super fan and atomberg where atomberg is slightly better in airflow than superfan but both cannot be compared to the regular fan when comparing airflow.

I said the exact same thing on one thread.

I have two regular fans with the same problem. Moreover, I have another pair of regular AC fans in 600mm size. They whirl at so freaking high RPM that it feels like they are trying to take off with the roof but man hardly any air reaches the floor.

I think, regardless of the tech used in fans, these days, nobody is putting any engineering efforts into the blade designs.

I bought these Havells fans from Amazon in Dec,2024 for 5k for a pack of 2.
Havells 1200Mm Festiva Es Ceiling Fan | Premium Finish, Decorative Fan, Elegant Looks, High Air Delivery, Energy Saving, 100% Pure Copper Motor | 2 Year Warranty | (4.1 stars, Pack Of 2, Pearl Ivory) https://amzn.in/d/g2AXdqc
These are not BLDC fans.

ATOMBERG IS SELLING SINCE 2015 AND THEY ARE THE BEST CURRENTLY.
I wouldn't say they are the best.. I bought this fan (https://atomberg.com/atomberg-renesa-plus-bldc-motor-with-remote-3-blade-ceiling-fan?sku=FG0399) few years back and it gave me a lot of problems, when running at full speed, it would randomly go slow for a few moments and then speed up again, by the they addressed the issue, it stopped going to max speed altogether, they replaced the center piece (which has the motor) under warranty and it ran into the same issue, this time a technician came to see the problem himself, and upon diagnosing he said that this motor is not calibrated or something, he had a different kind of remote which he used to fix it, but the problem came back, they replaced the motor again under warranty, they extended my warranty by 1 extra year due to the problems I faced but by the end of last summer the same problem started happening again, but I didn't raise a complaint as I haven't used the fan since..
Idk how to feel about this, like I'm thankful for the extra warranty, but the fact that they aren't able to fix my fan after multiple complaints is also concerning..

Enso is shit. I've been changing board every year via warranty. I would throw them out if it fails out of warranty. And my bad that I own 3 of them.
My other room has a superfan since last may. Might be my future goto given its performance so far.

Thanks for this, I was thinking of getting a new fan as one of the fans in my home is more than 15yrs old and was making noise while spinning and after having the bearings replaced and is now again making noise.
1. Can BLCD fans be fixed by local electrician? I guess I will have to check with my electrician for this
2. I read that you must not connect it to regulator, so remote operation only?
3. Are there BLCD models available without the smart features?

I have been using Atomberg BLDC ceiling fans for last 2 years. 2 different lightning incidents took them out, contacted the company for replacement. The service person doesn't fiddle around with it, he directly changes the whole internal unit.
RR fans (formerly Luminous fans) is also a good brand.

We have 3 Renesa Smart + (Same as Halo I think) now for 2+ years, and were using Atomberg Efficio before that in a previous house.
  • Fans do sometimes slow down on their own for a few seconds, then get back to normal speed.
  • Having a remote is very useful in practice.
  • These work well with a false ceiling, also can be used at Speed set to 1 / 2 for AC.
  • Speed is slightly lower than a 55W high-speed "normal" fan.
  • Can be controlled via app (Mi Remote app works and Google Assistant as well)
  • At least in Mumbai, service was exceptional - same day visit by technician who replaced the part (twice)

I have been using 6+ Atomberg fans different models for the last 5 years, not a single fan had any issue so far. No issues with the remote too and it has fallen countless times.

I have a couple of Atombergs too, entry level ones Renessa/Efficio. Working great for 3+ years. Even tested the power usage and it checks out. Remote works on all devices, so just one can be used.
For fans running all the time, its an obvious choice.

@lockhrt999 have you found any bldc which will work with normal regulators (dimmers) btw? I think I'll just go with non bldc at this point.

The consensus pretty much is that there's no bldc which will have same airflow as normal fans. They will always be inferior, right? In that case I'll simply go with a high star non bldc. At least that should save some power compared to our 30/40 years old fans i believe.
