i live in kharghar nd hav sify connection
i went to network conn, went to tcp/ip in my adapter's properties,nd changed the ip address,it accepted...then i installed dc++, shared files, nd conneted to hubs but all iget is connection timeout.....i installed apex dc++ , did same but i get this message:
** A socket operation was attempted to an unreachable host

what shud i do???
 
i kno i was also bloody bugged wen i tried connectin to dc for the 1st time....ok heres how u do it

First open ur network conn, click on TCP/IP nd click properties.
Change ur IP address to 10.11.a.xx where a is 1,2,3,4,or 5 .....and xx is any no. from 2-255
change the default gateway to 10.11.a.1
click ok
and close
now open dc++ and set it up as mentioned in my guide in the p2p forum .....sharein n stuff
connect to the given hubs

also note that u cannot connect to hubs if u r on same ip range as theirs ....

yeah..same as phoenix..said..and anything more u need..even i am there to help u.

.dnt knw if u knw..maybe phoenix knws it tht Sidharth menon has a found a way to run dc++ and net together..u just need to keep the original sify ip and in advance ip settings add another ip and gatway ie) for dc++ and after doing this just download the batch files of the ip range tht u r using and run it..and u r sify net as well as dc ++ both start working...
