Post the latest or upcoming metal releases

While the album itself was nothing exceptional, it does have a few stand out tracks.

I loved When the Wild Wind Blows. Its just this classic Maiden epic thingy.

Trivium - Shattering the skies above (recorded for God of War 3):

Megadeth - Sudden Death (recorded for Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock):

Its probably going to be that miserable Heritage tour setlist. I guess the mellow tracks from BWP/Damnation would be nice but Throat of Winter

omg thanks so much. opeth in bangalore feb05. never knew it

yes heritage has only 1 good song. but still even if they play 4-5 tracks from older albums it would be worth it.

#stormblast Sire, yeah even I have not much clue on Opeth but a couple of my friends are followers so will go to experience the phenomenon and probably fall in line.

By the way from In Flames I really enjoy A Sense Of Purpose [the album as a whole] and Come Clarity, otherwise I'm into Alternative rock and doom metal [Agalloch and Woods of Ypres] \m/ ///\\\ \m/.

By the way are you based in Bangalore? Please PM if Yes, did you guys have a TE meet this week-end?

opeth is amazing and i too have always followed them.

a sense of purpose was an average album by in flames according to me having heard them from the beginning. listen to the older stuff, its definitly much better.

i am located in bombay.

2011 was a good year for metal. Megadeth, Black Dahlia Murder, Vektor & Wolves in Throne Room released the best albums. Heritage grew on couple of listens.

Looking forward to this...

^^ #chiron Sire, thanks for the help liked Ikuinen Kaamos and Vintersorg out of the plethora of options you gave me. Cheers!!

^^ #dhruvrock2000 Yeah I mentioned those bands in an earlier post, do give a listen to Vintersorg and Ikuinen Kaamos [they have long songs a la Agalloch] which have been posted by #chiron Sire.

Otherwise for a Death Metal band with similar lyrical themes [Death, destruction, Was, Sacrifice] try out Bolt Thrower --

Hope this helps and you enjoy the music. Cheers!!

^^ Bolt Thrower are my favourite death metal band too. I read somewhere that they consider Those Once Loyal as their ultimate album and have no plans to release another
