or maybe it does then again NIT's aren't held in bad light for that. plus if you are getting into a job which is research oriented it might help you a lot more rather than any college. I have seen people from ISRO/DRDO going top top uni's with solid recco. end of the day, if you want something badly, no one can stop you.
