This is exactly what I'm waiting for. Waiting for the 5800X3D to release and see the real-world benchmarks and performance improvements. If it's worth it, then I'll definitely be making the upgrade.The upgrade won't be worth since the performance uplift in gaming in 90% of the games flattens out at 3200-3600MHz. Unless you have some encoding\rendering requirement I don't think the upgrade is worth it. Better to invest in 5800X3D if looking for more performance.

The Higher the frequency of the RAM, the more bandwidth you will get in Read and Write operations. This is the bandwidth between the processor and the RAM. CL stuff referes to latency i.e. how fast RAM reacts to commands. Tighter timings do improve 0.1% and 1% lows in gaming if rest of the components are not a bottleneck.
