Also some UT3, CoD4 plz :D

It will be nice with the nos @ all stock compared to 700/100 GPU & 3.6Ghz CPU :)...wanna see the scaling in Crysis :)

Congrats gannu- l33t stuff. :D
You surely would have died of anticipation if you had waited any longer to do all that. :bleh:

2) Sending you an air ticket to Mumbai.. help me do the wiring up in my case... it's a mess. That is a damn nice wiring job.

Cheaper option>

Spend on lunch for 2 tomorrow and 2x l33t n00bs do it for you- at your place, tomorrow- forces of nature not acting up. :ohyeah:

Congrats gannu..

My plan since I got EP45-DS3R. Lets see when can I get a chance to play with new cards.

Without a 9800gx2 in the house on TE, i guess, my score stands for a while, :)
Well I dont need a 9800GX2.. anybody just pass me X2 card for a 5.6G run :D

J/K. Good job there man:hap2:

:thanx: all of u guys; :)

@supra: Does UT3 have the benching option like in Crysis??? What abt COD4??? Dont remember;

Last time I tried installing COD4 with the G80 GTX with patches updated, SP didn't run; screen flashes n goes; but MP runs somehow; :S

If u can give me some links for those benchmark runs [commands or whatever; if u've done it before], it'd be fine; :)

Congrats on the CF rig... Pretty neat score there. :hap2:

Thought I may get to be the first to put together a 4850 CF rig. Damn It will be next weekend before I can put together my own rig :@ . 2 x Asus 4850 on the way (ordered through KMD), Almost decided on getting the Gigabyte X48-DQ6 from Amarbir (though I am yet to get the quotes from him). Already got 2 x 640GB WDC, these are way faster than than the the WDC 500GB and Seagate 320GB + 300GB I am currently using. My E6600 would be the only bottleneck. :ashamed:

Hw exactly?? By the timeline???

I laid hands on my 4850s on the 26th to be precise!!! :P

Or did u mean 2 4870s on CF??? :)

ummm...isnt crossfireX = 4 GPUs? :ashamed:

Actually the X is for extension of dual gfx cards for supporting 3 or 4 GPUs; :)

Since the Catalyst Control Centre said "Enable CrossFireX" I typed it out that way; :P

You got them from HK directly, I had to order them from US though I did it a bit before you. :P, Anyway I still have to get them from KMD and I also have to get the mobo. 2 x HD4870 would have been a first, but I felt 2 x 4850 is a lot more value than 2 x HD4870 since the difference between the two is not noticible till you run @ 2560 x 1600.

I got a confirmation mail from the shop in Thai I'd purchased a week back and did post the info in the ATI 4xxx thread; :bleh:

BTW good thing that the shop didn've 4870s; they quoted 13k for each else I'd have bought them eyes closed; So tempting were they at that price; :P

Anyhow I feel these're enough though the latter might've had more brag rights; :P

Wonder how rubies would fare with a phenom 9850:bleh:.thought rubies always preferred amd proccys :ohyeah:.

would be nice if you can post some benchies with a phenom .

BTW nice nice work gannu hoping to see more in game benchies from you:hap2::hap2:.

Great score, and change that stock hsf to something decent, u should easily do 4ghz for benching. Post a vantage score and crysis results!

@banik - I would have gone past 23k yesterday but just dint have enough time, had to pack and send the cards. But I should have 1 card by tuesday, I should be able to do so then! :D

It doesn't matter if it favors the Phenom when its being pitted againist a E8400 that can do 4 GHz on air. Thats the main reason why I didn't bother getting a Phenom 9850 + 790FX Motherboard though the combo will cost only a bit more than a high end X48 based motherboard alone.

No Vista unfortunately; :(

A new HSF is on its way; :D And either way I dont think 4G might make a huge difference to the scores since its a Dual Core;

Previously using the TRUE I think I did a bench run on 3dm'06 at 4.3G but not really recommended;

But even with lower clocks a quad is better than a dual. Unfortunately phenom doesn't overclock much to or above 3ghz. I think in real world gaming especially in crysis there is atleast a 200mhz difference clock to clock in 45nm, for eg 3.2quad = 3.4dual

Well very honestly I dont think 3d Mark 06 is gfx benchmark anymore, it to me has been maxed out and only the cpu score matters more in it. Vantage at this point is still better (ps without Phys X), however post some crysis benchies they will do justice for this set up, congrats once again for the first running 48XX CF! :)

Thats true, I would rather buy a quad than dual myself, but here I am talking about Phenom vs Core 2, In fact I had seriously considered going for Phenom 9850 + 790FX motherboard and went though many CPU benchies and game reviews.

My conclusion was that for anyone who runs his CPU at stock, the Phenom's are a pretty good value for money option, But if the user intends to even over clock by 25% then the Phenom's will not be able to match that performance.
