PREY Reviews Out !!!

Its actually on the individual on how he likes the game. If he went in thinking he was gonna get a new half life then you cant tell anyone anything. But if you were dissapointed by Doom3(which everyone was) then this game will fill that thirst...

Its on individual basis...
 
Lol.... Even Doom 3 got a score of 8.5 at Gamespot :| , so this Means Prey is worse then doom 3 ? :S But The Fact is that Gamespot Generally Gives low Ratings then wat a Game deserves ! IGN Ratings r Accurate Though !

Its better than DOOM3 that's for sure.. See that's a gamers choice, his tilt towards the game, that's why we review isn't it, to give our opinion... There's bound to be some sort of bias, that's human...

For example I didn't like HL 2 as much as farcry, but that's my right ain't it...

I agree that 8.5 for DOOM 3 was too high, visually yes, gameplay wise hell NO!!

I have better things to do that stand in front of a screen and talk about a game.
 
I've been playing this game for four days now.Rest asured its in NO way inferior to D3.Hell,D3 doesn't even come close.

In Prey, players enter a living spaceship which enslaves alien races and devours humans for lunch. Prey turns the first person shooter genre upside-down with awesome new game play features like wall-walking and gravity-flipping, making for intense single-player and multi-player experiences.

Prey is built on a heavy modded version of the Doom 3 engine and is developed by critically acclaimed developer Human Head Studios under the direction of 3D Realms.

FEATURES

Gravity Flipping
Manipulate gravity by shooting special targets located throughout the sphere. There are also zones in the world where gravity is automatically flipped various directions.

Wall Walking
Wall walk surfaces allow Tommy to traverse the sphere?s walls and explore otherwise unreachable areas.

Death Walking
Death isn?t the end. After losing all of his health, Tommy enters the Death Realm. He must battle the wraiths of fallen spirits to regain both health and spirit energy before returning to his living body.

Spirit Mode
Tommy can use the power of his ancient ancestors to leave his body and enter a spirit form. Spirit mode allows Tommy to sneak up on enemies, as well as overcome the sphere?s many obstacles.

Other Features
Portal technology adds a new dimension to game play, allowing enemies to appear out of thin air, creating new and completely original puzzles and employing advanced game play techniques.

Multiplayer games take complete advantage of unique game play styles of Prey, as players walk on ceilings and walls while the maps gravity flips from side to side.

I am have been playing it. Its quite good and a bit light on the machine. Seems like I am getting more than 100 FPS with the qualify setting except AA at max and res at 1024 x 768 on my 6800GT. The environment uses a lot of blood and gore. So not for the weak of stomach. Only downer is the lack of variaty in weapons. The second weapon you get for a wrench is a bolt gun with a scope...:ohyeah:
