yeah just wanted to shove it on the face of a sweet member who posted the other way :P

I was getting similar texture problems with the 1.3 patch but they seemed to go away if i turned off aa or af not sure which one it was. Seems to be fixed after i installed 1.4 but now i have infinite ammo somehow and dont even need to reload

the game is always judged on its outdoor gfx & not on indoor. indoor usually look good in all games.

outside textures are the hardest to make as they have to be really convincing in its looks & colors hence farcry is stilll the best game gfx wise upto date. fear is 1 of the most worst looking gfx game in the 1st 5 levels. it only gets good after the 6th level.

also u 4get farcry was released when 9800/9700pro was ruling the top & fear was released much later & it still doesnt even come close.

updates from v1.30 includes shader model 3.0 support, maybe the issues will be with the drivers I believe. Try installing the official final drivers rather than beta drivers & chk out wat happens!!

at last my problem got solved

this screenshot is with all settings at max @1280x1024 with 6xaa, 16xhqaf & hdr

the problems were being caused by 'Ray Adam's ATI Tray Tools 1.0.5.880 RC' so uninstalled it & changed back to 'ATI Catalyst Control Center' & iam using Catalyst 6.8 now

^^ Hmm i dont see any AA on that, or is it just me ? Can see a lot of jaggies everwhere in that image...though it still looks amazing...

akS !

I agree. Even my 9600 pro used to do better AA in Far Cry than that pic. Maybe hdr is screwing around with the AA? Switch off hdr temporarily and see...
