So the story starts like this.

I am afflicted with a deadly case of BF3-Compulsive-Disorder.

Now the main challenge is that i cannot play daiiy, might get a few hours every week- and i am inclined towards a small, rig, that can be taken places and better if low TDP.

And i so want a nice SandyBitch rig but her sister will be joining the party in some months, adding to my problems- you may read a bit here

cheapest combo that's fine for BF3/gaming - TechEnclave

This is Not a build-log wannabe- This is my scribble pad with random updates and remarks.

When the India servers were up and full last, I had just begun playing BF3, with the RPK-74M (no sights) then and got killed mercilessly by all. Upon checking the BF3 thread here realised who the players were. If i declared my id, both teams will kill me first and then proceed with the match- not done, not happening for now at least.

My long-time love, SG02, Bought it despite 'NO' from my well-wishing advisors.

'No' from them because we still haven't figured out a way to keep this well-ventilated, especially in non-AC environs, without keeping the cover off.

(Will have to prefer/stick to reference cards so that most heat is vented outside the case.)

'YES' from me because

- really small and portable (comparison pic. due. I think i made a good choice over the µATX tower options like TJ08-E, etc .Also could have used the Antec Super Lan Boy case i already had and could have saved some money if i had used that)

- small but accepts fairly long graphics cards like 2900XTX (hint: upgrade-proof if i afford one

- steel, single piece top+side cover- hopefully won't rattle/distort after some transits.

- Will need some unique mods to keep everything cool. I like to spend on cooling/cases and tough brain-teasers even if i can't solve them.

I have managed to capture some in-games screenies using FRAPS- will sit down and check if i managed to capture min/max fps.

With a GTX580, i don't think i realised any big difference in playability between the 2 setups i ran it with- unless FRAPS has a different story to narrate.

Also, this might change when i plug in something less powerful, like the GTX460 i have and will mostly stay there unless underperforming.

Test Run 1 > I tried to stay alive using '1600x900 high' and '1920x1080 high' settings.

Test Setup 1- GTX580+Pentium G620+P8H61-M PLUS2

Test Setup 2- GTX580+Core i5-650+P7H55-M LX (should be similar or almost similar to core i3-2100)
