OC & Modding Project EVO 2 - Water Cooling to the Extreme

So here is the final update.

Started with getting a couple of pieces of acrylic and making a few things. To start with I made a new PSU cover as the old one was not long enough to hold the pump securely.

Also got a couple of lengths done this morning:

Redid the HDD cover area as well as this acrylic was a bit more black and suited it better. The older one was more translucent. Anyway on to the main pieces I made today:

Yup...so how does that look now. I also redid the tubing to black as well...so here are some show off pics:

This is what I did with the strips. Not 100% happy with it, but it will do for now:

Only the side panel is left to work with...wish me luck with my first time with a dremel.

Awesome. However...

1) Those strips don't look good. Why don't you just add a fully black acrylic sheet there with a couple of 3D logos (like that ROG one). You can make something like - AMD or X6 or Radeon or CM.

2) Those blue leds are killing it. Could you switch them over to red ones or atleast white ones?

Thanks man...Actually the rear is black only, so it can be plain or with some design. Also the LED's are white...show as blue due to lighting.

This is a good build, really nicely done.

Just had a question, the pump is on top of the PSU, with a customized cover for the PSU..? Sorry if I missed it in the thread write up..!

Well, the PSU is under the cover. And the cover extends to almost 3/4th the case length. The pump is on this extended part. I hope that covers the confusion.

. I believe the acrylic I am using now is of inferior quality as it seems to catch scratches very very fast. Anyway, this is just temporary as there are some design elements that I need to incorporate on the final piece, so I am not going to bother with it too much. Basically this is where I am now, after a lot of filing and a lot of cutting and stuff. I am using the same push pins that came with the case originally to hold the acrylic.

I plan on putting a 120 fan at the bottom, just above the PSU and will have slats at the top, to enable the rads to breathe easier.

But thats for a bit later, maybe sometime tomorrow. Heres where it is right now.

Nice mav, really nic work, it's a realy expensive and very risky and difficult thing for especially us Indians to get hold of any parts needed to build a rig like this, but despite that you carried on and ultimately crossed the line, Congrats Bro!! awesome work.
