Protest the increment in price by Milestone interactive for video games

Why arent you considering the MP of those games? ~60perc people have played BF3 for 500hrs easily by now and even ~20perc like me have played for 250hrs and believe me we gonna play more :). So it justifies the 999/- tag for most online games. You are not still considering the maintenance aspect of servers.

And regarding playing in gaming parlour, then thats a good deal :)

why would i spend 999 bucks on NFS Run that lasts only 6 hrs and which i can go and finish for 150 odd bucks in my local gaming parlour.
For me the gametime criteria is very important when it comes to pricing and it is second only to the story and gameplay.

I back that
Even if it reduces from the 3k+ mark, it'll just reduce to 1,799 and that was the reason why this thread was created by me.

I am considering the MP bro. Trust me, after seeing how much my brother plays BF3 online, i think 999 is more than justified. But tell me yourself, will 999 be justified for someone like me who will only play the SP once or at max twice. That is the only reason i suggested this 2 prong approach for the distribution.
I buy games like FIFA and PES because i play them for a whole year but cant justify spending on other games.

I understand your point, but if you think from business point of view, its difficult to practically implement this method.

I was having a chat with one of my friends who works for EA and he told me that EA or other big game publishing companies dont really care about Indians when pricing. He specifically told me that only last year EA decided to bring about a change as they thought of India as a big market for the future and we saw that with pricing on Origin.
However he also told me that the price increase might not stick. He told that EA might either offer another DLC with Crysis at the same or even lesser price. He said that even though people will cancel and rebook but EA will earn via interest till the orders are cancelled and money is refunded.

If it was just a goof up of pricing, then they would have just changed it back to the original prices. But it doesn't seem to be the case coz they have just removed it and bring it back after release.

Am not buying the games at a price point of greater than Rs.1000... I bought BF3 and ME3, but enough is enough.... Within 3 months of release, these prices drop to around 1200.... Screw this bullshit.....

I think this is what EA was playing at from the beginning,
1.Jack up the prices by 80 percent ;make everyone angry
2.Drop the price back to what it was before make everyone happy
3.????????
4.Instant profit

IMHO 1499rs is still too much id prefer 999rs any day iam pretty sure others do too.

Not sure what the fuss is about. Cost of development for AAA games is soaring. Pc games overseas had their prices increased to 60 usd. Add to that, our Rupee simply tanked in forex some time near the end of last year. These companies have to maintain their margins right? It's not like they are running a public service.

Bro you are getting the Limited editions at 1499/- and standard at 999/-. So there is no change and no instant profit for EA :)

Fuss was about increasing the price by 2 times the original one. From 999 ---> 1799 for Standard editions and 1499 --> I guess it was 2799 for LE.

You are absolutely right that they are not running a public service, rather they are here to make profit, but they will get this profit only when public will buy it, so fair pricing is what was desired and has been given by EA again. Thanks to them
