Ps2 on CRT monitor Without CPU.

Hi all...

I have a spare 17" CRT with me now... now not used for abt 1 month... so thght abt connecting it to the ps2 and give my ps2 a permanent Display..

So i have a ps2 and a CRT... how to connect them both??...

sound -> my z5500 can handle the input if i can get the sound somehow...i think just connecting the LR(Red-White) connectors may do the trick..

I have never did the TV tuner trick..so knowledge abt this is 0.

so please Advise...remember I shld not NEED a PC....

ps. How abt a VGA box from PA???

Buy an external tuner card(one that doesnt require a PC, powered separately) with VGA output.....it has built in speakers too(utter crapola quality of course )

Just connect the 3 components from PS2 to its back and use a VGA-VGA cable to connect the device to the monitor.as simple as that.

and its available all over ebay, something in the 1k range i think...but the one i have with me(a friend's) has crappy speakers, i just couldnt stand it and hence, using a 21" tv for the PS2.

well..i have the 17" sitting there...will put that to use..let me look for a TV tuner...

TV tuner is not going to help...

the lag introduced by tv tuner will make game unplayable....

nope there is no lag I played on a 17inch crt with an external tv tuner no lag at all.
