Ps3 40gb RMA

Disabling PSN and trying it was somewhat a known "fix" For GTA IV. But from the looks of it, it seems that the GT5 Pro bundle seems faulty? Stormblast as well as Renagade have the same issue; and both own the same bundle; coincidence?. And from what most of the people have been telling me, i thought that the SPIN of Death was only(read:more) applicable to the 60GB?

See you guys should do what i did when i bought my PS3 60GB :-
Step 1 : Take it to the pooja room.
Step 2 : Place the ps3 down
Step 3 : Pray for as long as you can fight your temptation from using it.

Thats it. From that time till now, Its always been warhawk, warhawk warhawk. And some PS 2 games.

I dont think there would be any logic in the GT5 pro bundle being defective, coz it the same core system...coincidence would be the best answer...

I am also planning to get the PS3, is the GT5 pro bundle available at Sony india?..same price 25k?
 
afaik PS3 GT5 pro bundle available for 24k in Croma, Mumbai.
Dunno about Chennai Region :)

Also my PS3 has frozed only twice since bought & that too not ingame, but while updating system software :)

b/w right now hooked on to GTA 4 :haha:

Croma..is the Tech shop chain started by Tata's rite?...I saw it at the Bbay airport...pretty kool..so ur warranty is handled by Sony na??,,,and how is Croma giving 1yr extended warranty?!!
 
Croma is giving Extended warranty for Rs. 750/- extra. but dunno if its still on :S

I purchased it from hypercity, Mumbai @ 23k in 1 yr warranty, with Employee Discount of Hypercity, thru some contacts in hypercity :)
 
Gave the faulty unit for replacement at their lajpat nagar head service centre. I was shocked to see 2 more ps3 boxes lying there for replacement and the service engineer also confirmed 2-3 faulty units per month from delhi itself :O .
They have promised me a new gt5 40gb pack within a week , my GTAIV will just gather dust till then..:(
 
Just got a call from the Sony service centre , they have replaced my faulty unit with a new retail pack ps3 and are also giving a copy of motorstorm for free for the inconvenience caused.....:hap2: . That's the way it should be done....:P

Got my spanking new 40gb and it works great , no freezing with Gta IV and the fan spins up only 30 mins into the game. They didn't have motorstorm in stock so they gave me a Voucher/coupon for any ps3 game..! That means Mgs for free
