^6The failure rate for ps3's isn't all that high , it's not even close to the xbox360 RRod problem . Just that on this forum many of us by chance received faulty units. Getting a 40gb ps3 from the us for around 15k is a good bet.

Kind of.It's a complete gamble.My friend got one just after it's initial launch from KSA & then after a few months of use it decided to crap out with the SOD.BTW it was the 60GB model.But still it is an indication of this issue occuring with anyone at anytime.So to be on the safer side "BE INDIAN & BUY INDIAN" :bleh:
