Hey Ram. I got my copy of Here Comes the Pain today. I was all prepared to try it out on the PS3 with this classic thing, but I decided to give our old PCSX2 emulator one last shot. It had been quite a long time since I had tried this and I remember it being disastrous mess, each time I did. But now that I had a Quad CPU and a good GPU, it was time!
You won't believe me when I say this, but the game runs like a dream on PCSX2. I'm talking miles better than the PS2 (obviously) and far more superior to whatever the PS3 emulation would have offered. It's constant 60fps in 1080p with 4X AA. Believe me, the detail looks absolutely amazing and the AA really works. I didn't have to tweak a lot of settings either. The only thing which is crapped out is the 'Now Loading' screen, which shrinks to an abnormal ratio. That's not even an issue as the loading screen is barely there for 3-4 seconds. I guess the upgrade really paid off. If you still want to try this game, do it on the PCSX2. This just proves yet again that PC can handle anything which is offered by console and even perfect it.
