^You're getting a console? When?
Bluffmaster said:They don't. Some of Xbox games just vanish alltogether. Example being Assassin's Creed 2, Smackdown vs Raw 2011, Red Dead Redemption etc ... Not able to find these games anywhere, not even in grey market. Newer games are not a problem but old classics are. I had to literally search through more than 20 shops before i got my hands on Red Dead Redemption and that too at a premium.

Was there some problem or he just got busy with Intencity?
Bluffmaster said:waiting for an LED for my room first although I can connect the console to my 23" monitor but I guess a 40" LED would be more appropriate.

Regarding other Pros and cons, I have pretty much made up my mind to invest in a PS3 because at the end of the day its the hardcore games which matter and PS3 exclusives simply outnumber and outperform Xbox exclusives. Besides, a blu ray player is nice.
Slashgear said:A couple days back Sony announced that it was slashing the price of the PS3 console by $50 globally to help ramp sales of the console. Apparently a few days is all it took to find out that the $50 price cut was a very good move on Sony’s part. The PS3 has in the last few days become the best selling console on Amazon. The PS3 and some of its games climbed up to grab four of the top five spots on the Amazon Movers & Shakers list.
With the new price cut, the asking price for the 160GB PS3 is now $249 with the price of the 320GB unit dropping to $299 and the same price applies to a 320GB bundle that has Infamous 2. Spending on video games is reportedly down as much as 5% this year compared to last year when the economy was at its worst. The prediction is that Microsoft will make a price cut on its Xbox 360 as well.
Drifting OT again, but you cannot price a form of media competitively to US. International novels have an Indian edition, we dot pay 15-20 USD for a movie ticket (but its getting dangerously close). Pricing a game at 3k in India, just does not make sense.Debatable. Like any other topic for that matter.
The way I see it, as long as you pay for a title and sell it off after a playthrough or two, you do not lose much. Unless you have a habit of collecting these titles. Besides you need to understand that most titles being sold in our country is priced very very competitively compared to the US. You can see for yourself if you compare the Flipkart pricing vis-a-vis Amazon pricing for a game. I am sure even if a good title was to cost somewhere around the 200 INR mark, most folks would rather prefer pirating it.
If you weren't aware of the recent prices of the upcoming console games, here you go:Aces170 said:Drifting OT again, but you cannot price a form of media competitively to US.
