PS3 price drops

this is just awesome news.now i can get a ps3 for as low as 7.8 k!

[ my old ps3 gave away,sony policy is if your ps3 gives up inside 3 years and you have a reciept they give you a new one for 50% of the value]
 
What about support for out of warranty Indian PS3s? Is there a repair facility now?

I think the CFW should be 3.6 and above . This price drop will increase their sales by 500,000 to 750,000 units a month .
 
the price drop is gonna create a Lot f pressure on the 360.I remember talking with a mate of mine who resides in the uk and is a gaming fanatic,if ps3 reaches the 250 mark it will be dificult for xbox to sustain it.heck some dedicated bluray players cost higher.

The ps3 is gnna disappear from shelves nw!

This is a screen shot that i took from a website i follow . Its VGChartz . This data is till 13th August , lets see what are the numbers for PS3 in the coming 2 weeks . This price drop should give a good jump to PS3 for atleast 3 to 4 weeks .

We will see how much of an effect this price drop will have. Remember when PS3 released a new slim model and dropped the price to $299, we saw a spike in its sale to roughly match 360 (Older ones), but immediately when 360 released the slim model, the 360 sales took off.

I also do not think that 360 will drop the price immediately. While the 360 executives can play the price card now if they want to, but they will wait to see how NPD pans out. If PS3 surges ahead, then expect a price drop for 360. If 360 still continues to beat PS3 on NPD, then it will wait out longer.
 
Guys wait for a week or two....these r sold at MRP now after the price drop or near it. Move pack MRP is down from 23990 to 19900. As expected a 4k drop and ppl who told it takes 1-2 months....Sony has done it in less than a week :D

Expecting letsbuy Movepack price to go down to 18750 or so....so we can get it around for 17.5k shipped for PS3 320GB Move Pack :D

This is the best I could find 1000 Rs instant Cashback Taggle for the 320GB PS3 with Move starter pack.. So the effective price is 16.5K including shipping which is a sweet deal..
